That's good though. Our future generation will see what actually happened. History is a lot easier to learn from when you have more than a book to teach you.

The media gives Obama hell over Arugala, but they broadcast a small blurb when Hillary screws up with illegal immigrant driver's licenses, the RFK comment, or her connections to the ultra conservative Fellowship religious group. Of course the media was pro-Obama!

yeah right. if a democrat had pulled half the shiat Bush has pulled he'd have been up before a firing squad already

burndtdan 2008-06-06 11:09:08 AM
I drunk what: how about media bias against republicans?

no, there is no bias. the media relays all of mccain's major statements and policy positions, along with relaying all of obama's, and even still a lot of clinton's.

that is fair media coverage. if your guy is saying something that is just plain wrong and not supported by any facts or expert opinion (iraq and gas tax holiday for two respective examples), they are allowed to call him an idiot or just stop talking about his dumb ass.

maybe if your candidate didn't suck so much the media wouldn't tell you he sucks so much.

With an attitude like that no wonder. They figure you don't mind, otherwise they'd do something about it. And of course, you, being non-corrupt, have run for exactly which office?

Maybe you'd rather just complain?

"Barack Hussein Napoleon Pol-Pot Obama" got a large chuckle out of me.

It's scary that the Daily Show might have the best political coverage in the nation right now.

importedbeer 2008-06-06 11:23:39 AM
This is what Joe Scarborough said before the primaries started btw:

Even before the final votes were tallied in the 2006 elections, politicians started lining up for the 2008 presidential sweepstakes. Without further ado, let me kill Hamlet in the first act and tell you how your favorite candidate will fare over the next 12 months.
Barack Obama

Forget the fact this guy's middle name is "Hussein." Forget the fact he has been in national politics for less than two years. Forget the fact that Hillary Clinton will raise more money than God in 2007. Forget all of that, the Washington press tells us, because Barack Obama is none other than the second coming of JFK.

Yeah, right.

Barack Hussein Obama is more Johnny Bravo than John Kennedy. The vest fits and the fans scream while DC's star-maker machinery shifts into overdrive.

Like Peter Brady's Bravo, Obama's shot at the top will be short lived. But since BHO is young enough, dynamic enough and (just) black enough to whip official Washington into a frenzy, expect this stupid story to stick around for a while. Soon enough though, this year's model will be shouting, "Please give a warm Chicago welcome to the next President of the United States, Hillary Clinton! Cheering for New York's junior senator excites Democratic activists about as much as rooting for General Electric. Regardless of their hand wringing, Hillary Inc. will grind up and spit out any Democratic challenger that gets in its way.

Ms. Clinton has completed six ruthlessly efficient years in the U.S. Senate and avoided even a whiff of scandal since Bubba moved to a separate zip code. But that doesn't mean the problematic ex-president won't be her campaign's chief asset. Time and again throughout the next few years, Bill Clinton will make the difference on fundraising, networking and strategy. And 2007 will show that any politico who dares to cross Team Clinton risks being crushed into dust.

I know now why he is so defensive about Barack Obama.

It's been the best for months. They only have to fill a half-hour every day. Means they don't have to repeat the same crap a thousand times. There's only 5 minutes worth of real campaign news, TOPS, every day. Everything else is talking about those 5 minutes of news. And talking about the people who are talking about the news.

Bah.

And now that the vaunted Clinton machine has died a death of a thousand pinpricks at the hands of Obama's grassroots, the GOP is scrambling to try to figure out how to deal with him.

They were *ready* for Clinton. Oh, man, were they ready. But they have no idea how to handle Obama. McCain's speech on Tuesday was their first real stab at him. They wanted to come out strong.

And look how that's been received.

The proper response to a non sequiter zerg rush reference is to post images of Koreans, zerglings, or Koreans acting like zerglings.

And because social conservatives HATED Giuliani, although Romney wasn't much better because of being a Mormon. They only really like Huckabee, which was unfortunate because no other wing of the party liked him. The GOP vote was so splintered that McCain basically won by default and almost no one is REALLY happy about their candidate.

our government (and the politicians in general) give me plenty of incentive, but my comment was about our media-whore (major media) that overwhelming paints dems as saving us from those rotten old reps, If I were to follow politics I'd probably go with Fox since they are as "fair and balanced" as you can get, though they may not be as pure as advertised

on a side note, for our beloved Obama, he keeps repeating Change, but doesn't say how he is going to improve our situation. Change itself =/= better result. For example, you CHANGE a bad situation to worse!

I'd vote IF there were someone worth voting for. Voting for a libtard instead of yet another rep hack isn't improving anything.

And actually Obama has laid down specific platform information however I don't expect trolls to sit down and do a simple search.

True.

I thought Huckabee would win. That guy had the scary ability to hide some bat crap crazy positions behind a lot of "charmth".

I really did not think Hillary was going to be threatened by anyone until I read up on how much money Obama was raising and how he was leveraging the 50 state strategy. When I saw the number of caucuses in store, I told the husband, he might actually give her a run for her money. And he went and beat her!
