So Ikea is unacceptable, so is Elvis as a girl's name, whilst Lego is cool as a boy's name, and Metallica is acceptable for a girl? I think someone needs to confiscate all coughing syrup found in the offices of this Administrative Court of Appeals thing.

/In 15-16 years time, some Swedish guy will be asked if it's true that he has nailed Metallica.

Sounds to be like they're building a new century of stupid baby names, brick by brick.

About a month ago.. I ran across some teen working in a gas station here in town with a name tag that read "Tonka" ... "Lego" doesn't sound that bad afterall.

Sex should be interesting for this kid.

"Sorry, it doesn't fit properly"

"Wow, it has 8 bumps on it"

Well, it's better for little Lego, than I would be for young miss Ikea, who would have people thinking they were original av suave every time they suggested that they could slide their Peg No. 1 into her Slit A.

WTF is wrong with folks in Sweden anyway? A terribly attractive people, more or less, but apparently mostly insane since the turn of the 20th century.

And "wins the right" is incorrect. A right doesn't need to be given by a judge. What they did was win permission to name the state ward they birthed as "Lego". Nothing more.

If they can name their children after toys, then I am going to name my children after house hold cleaners.

I will name my son Simple Green and my daughter Windex.

I have a distant relative in Slovakia (very distant) named Tonka. They say it's short for Antonia, but I fail to see the connection.

It is sad that in other countries, you have to get permission to name your kid (or yourself) whatever the hell you want.

My fiance is half Czech and his cousin is called Erinka (her name is Erin), his cousin Elisabeth is called Eliska and his aunt is called Libuska (Libuse) by his Czech grandmother. I think the KA may make it a pet name.

Pretty much, from what I know. No different than turning Robert into Robby and Thomas into Tommy.

Also, his two male cousins also get -Ku (like coo) added to their name - but they both have been very adamant that they dont like it any more, poor Johanneku and Alexeku.

Nevermind Sweden, wtf is wrong with people in this world who think it's ok to name their precious snowflakes obscure, random, crazily-spelled names? Why put your kid through years of teasing because you thought it was "cute" when he was 2 months old?

I mean ok, you have tradiational names, fine. But not this Deztiny, Aleeyisha, ESPN crap.

Good thing it wasn't twins, or we'd have a flame war between the "Legos" people and the "Lego Bricks" people.
