walk 47 miles of barbed wire,
I use a cobra-snake for a necktie,
I got a brand new house on the roadside,
Made from rattlesnake hide,
I got a brand new chimney made on top,
Made out of a human skull,
Now come on take a walk with me, Arlene,
And tell me, who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Tombstone hand and a graveyard mine,
Just 22 and I don't mind dying.
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
I rode around the town, use a rattlesnake whip,
Take it easy Arlene, don't give me no lip,
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Night was dark, but the sky was blue,
Down the alley, the ice-wagon flew,
Heard a bump, and somebody screamed,
You should have heard just what I seen.
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Arlene took me by my hand,
And she said ooowee Bo, you know I understand.
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?
Who do you love?

Bo Diddley Who Do You Love lyrics, and amidst the best ever written

The bo Diddley riff - making generations of guitarists sound cool.

RIP Bo.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Bo Diddley in 2002 while working overnights in a hotel in Buffalo. His ride to the airport stiffed him (!) and he sat in the lobby telling my and my co-worker dirty jokes until I brought him to the aiport in our shuttle van. Very cool and very funny man. He autographed a picture for my dad, a retired cop and signed it "Sheriff Bo," as he told me he was an honorary sheriff somewhere in the south.

Saw him open for Tom Petty at the Fillmore in '99 (or thereabouts). He was seventeen different kinds of awesome.

I had never listened to blues guitarists before that, but I sure as shiat did after that.

RIP, Bo. You'll be missed.

Yeah, wrong black musical pioneer. BB's still alive and testing his blood sugar, as far as I know.
