Now, I have not seen the movie, however I will suggest that the movie may be the best thing for men in a long time. Just this last weekend I have had 4 girls come up to me in the bar and the last one pretty much begged me to take her home with me. And she was not even a B&T without a ride.

Believe me, I consider myself a rather average looking guy. Having one girl approach me would be considered a good night. 4 approaches in the same night, now that was just silly. I did not start thinking the movie was responsible until I saw the line in front of a theater on my cab ride home from the office today.

She does need something to do afterward... speaking of which, I read a very interesting article about how the show kickstarted the luxury market simply by giving "implicit permission" to women that it's OK to spend ridiculous amounts of money on nice things and pamper yourself even if you don't have the money. Cast your mind back to the 4 weird looking girls you saw in the series 10 years ago, and the dreadful clothes they wore. Now add 10 years. It's like Friends in drag. Time hasn't been kind to that one with a face like a horse, and fashion has only got worse since then. If there was ever an argument for snuff movies, this is it.

I thought we were supposed to encourage, "being yourself and having high self esteem" funny really, that women create images for themselves that are the opposite of what they preach.

Why was this movie made? The cast is awful, the plot is non-existent. The message is horrible and the reality is that shows and movies like SATC create a false sense of reality. Any men who are reading this must agree with me. In fact most men I know, that have not been conquered by SATC NYC princesses, decidedly are disappointed with the quality of American women. I must believe it is due to the filth which they idealize, such filth being espoused as the pinnacle of happiness for women in movies like SATC. Unbelievable. I despise this movie with intense passion.

DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN FIRST AND FOREMOST AS A FATHER TO DISSUADE YOUR WIFE AND/OR DAUGHTER FROM SEEING THIS.

I was dragged out to see the new Sex and the City movie on opening night with my wife. I was also "forced" to watch the show when it was on HBO. I eventually learned to appreciate the show, but I didn't appreciate the movie. As I recall, there was one line that I laughed at that pretty much summarizes the entire movie: The main character is upset, but finally comes out of her shell a bit and makes a stupid pun, and Samantha says "Oh, you made a little joke." I would have been happy with that scene and nothing more.

The worst part is the deal I made with my wife to go see the movie on opening night at 12:01 with her is that she had to go see the new Indiana Jones movie with me the night before. Another mistake.
