Yeah, because CNN, the group that pandered to Saddam to stay in Iraq has such credibility. Leave the green zone for once douchebag.

Thank me for my time.

prjindigo 2008-05-31 11:04:53 PM
Dear Mr Ware... you've been there continuously for several years and still get the assessments wrong, don't talk out your ass.

The problem in Iraq isn't IN Bagdhad, it is the religious infidelity that most its citizens have in relation to ACTUAL Islam.

The can be lead about by pompus cock-dribbles who know all the words to the play but like to improvise the lines as they see fit.

BTW: The Onanist, the context in which that commercial USED "Oh, Snap!" was incorrect to begin with.

McCain is a douchebag's douchebag. He is the runny liquid that surrounds your dog's feces. He's maggot poop. John McCain is the pus in a zit.

How on god's green earth has this moran managed to get this close to being president?

CNN was in Iraq for 12 years and got it wrong every single day, what with the payoffs to Saddam's henchmen and the deal they cut to shade coverage in Saddam's favor to curry favors and access and allowing Saddam's secret police minders veto power on their coverage.

It's pretty obvious. CNN hired wolf blitzer. Wolves wear sheeps clothing. the word "sheep" sounds a lot like the word "sheik". Sheiks are muslim. Muslims are evil and corrupt. Therefor, CNN is evil and corrupt.

Every arguement for why John McCain would make an awful President the Republicans already made for me in 2000... more than that all this "new stuff" or what I call 2000-2008 has pretty much sealed the deal on an Obama Presidency...

Shaggy_C: McCain gets assessments in Iraq wrong.

Ok,... what, exactly?

"Saddam Hussein [is] developing weapons of mass destruction as quickly as he can," he informed Fox News in November 2001. By February 2003, McCain had upgraded Hussein's capabilities and was warning Americans that "Hussein has the ability to ... [turn] Iraq into a weapons assembly line for Al Qaeda's network."

"We're not going to get into house-to-house fighting," he scoffed to Wolf Blitzer in 2002. "We're not going to have a bloodletting." In fact, by March 2003, McCain was positively giddy with Rumsfeldian enthusiasm: "There's no doubt in my mind ... we will be welcomed as liberators."

"There's not a history of clashes that are violent between Sunnis and Shias," he explained confidently on MSNBC in April 2003, "so I think they can probably get along."

and there's lots of other quotes but you get the idea.
He really was playing with the truth the other day with his remarks about troop levels. they're only scheduled to be down to 140k after the draw down in July. no plans now on when the rest of the surge can go home. so his statement that we're already down to pre surge levels was false on both fronts.

Those are all from before he went there.

"appearing on Fox News Sunday, the Arizona Republican stated that the recent flair up of violence in Basra was ended after Shiite cleric, Muqtada al-Sadr declared a ceasefire. This, he said, was proof that Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's government was gaining the upper hand, both militarily and politically.

"It was al-Sadr that declared the ceasefire, not Maliki," said McCain. "With respect, I don't think Sadr would have declared the ceasefire if he thought he was winning. Most times in history, military engagements, the winning side doesn't declare the ceasefire. The second point is, overall, the Iraqi military performed pretty well. ... The military is functioning very effectively."

It is a convenient interpretation for a candidate who later went on to tout the political successes of the American troop surge. But it seems to contradict almost all news accounts from last week. Indeed, it was the Iranian government and members of Maliki's government who brokered the ceasefire, not Sadr."

That's it? He misidentifies extremists (which the Iranians are unquestionably supporting) as Al Qaeda and that destroys his credibility?
