What pisses me off about this is that if gas prices had gone down in this time they'd be crowing about it from the pulpit and flyers and their church billboards and reveling in the power of faith.

This is like people praying to win the lottery. If there is a God, he certainly isn't in the service of granting daily miracles like this.

Why don't these people become proactive? Instead of praying for divine intervention, lobby to improve your city's metro, install solar cells in your house, go to college to research alternative fuel...

I have no problem with prayer. But pray in worship of God, not some frivilous self-serving goal. Then put in real work to help improve the world.
