At least no one had to listen to him solve the world's problems while grinding his teeth as if though he were eating an imaginary chicken leg.

I had a friend from high school who moved to Dallas after graduation and ended up financing his new found independence by dealing LSD. When he, his roommate and the girls that set them up in the business heard the knock at the door that always seems to come, he did the natural thing and swallowed their inventory.

Needless to say he's never been the same since.

I've heard many LSD-related stories like this, and more often than not they're only partial truths. LSD doesn't stay in your body any more than any other drugs do, and it doesn't cause brain damage, even in large doses.

In theory the worst that could happen is you have a very bad trip once, and display something like PTSD-type symptoms afterward, or else there was an underlying mental disorder which was exacerbated , but inevitable. Once your body processes the drug, it's out of your system pretty quickly, and if there is a drug that flips some sort of irreversible 'insane' switch in your brain, we haven't found it yet.

Sorry for the rant, and sorry if your friend really is messed up, but blaming a one-time occurrence for any long-term mental state is slightly misguided.

Sad story though, that's why I stay au natural when it comes to drugs (i.e. marijuana, shrooms, and occasional salvia). If it can be smoked/injested without any human interference or manufacturing then I've got no problem using it.

15g is a lot of YAY. That's over four 8 balls and last time I checked worth about 600 bucks. that's like swallowing a nice 29inch LCD HDTV. Either way, I think suffocating to death, beats going into seizures and convulsions and then finally dying.

weird, I went to the website for the tv channel where I heard them say it was 15 grams, but on their website they only say it was an unknown amount, so the 15 g's could be off.

I'm not quite sure of the veracity of the military's claim on this, but, whatever.

When I was 18 I was grabbed by a cop on the Wildwood boardwalk while I was holding a cellophane wrapper from a cigarette pack containing 16 hits of acid. I did the natural thing, and tried to swallow the evidence. Never put cellophane in your mouth. It gets sucked right into your windpipe and you choke on it. Anyway, the cop rescued me from my own stupidity and when the cellophane shot out of my mouth, luckily for me the hits didn't. Also luckily for me they were in paper.
I spent the next few hours in the police station getting written up for possession of marijuana (they had no clue), all the while wondering if I was going to trip balls in a holding cell. Fortunately I didn't.
