Born without a left hand, the guitar-playing singer-composer knew about adapting.

That's the sinister one, for those keeping score.

Lol.. a Black Metal Christian band? (Horde) now thats funny!

And it's possible to have Christian members of a band and still be decent (Slayer), but when your main focus lyrically, etc, is Christianity then it's a big time FAIL.

hmmm ... you must not listen to black metal much. compare Horde's Hellig Usvart to early Darkthrone, Burzum, early Emperor, Mayhem, etc then let's chat.

yeah, because singing about a scary guy with horns grants you musical validity. who cares?! metal bands sing about satan, dismemberment, vikings, and dragons. if it rocks, it rocks. i could care less what the lyrics are about. and if you're really into metal, you'll end up missing out on some great music if you care about lyrics.

First, "god" causes this dude to be born without a hand.

Then, "god" "calls" him to play guitar.

HA HA HA HA!!

Either:

1) "God" is utterly incompetent,
2) "God" has a hilariously sick sense of humor, or
3) "God" is and has always been a complete and utter fabrication, just like all the rest of the supposed deities the superstitious primitives have dreamed up over the years.

I've always felt like #3 is the likeliest option, #2 is the funniest.

Of Tom heard you call him Christian he would smack you. Also, Slayer hasn't been decent in almost 20 years.

Unblack metal (also known as Christian black metal) is a term used in reference to black metal bands whose lyrics and imagery depict Christianity positively. Such bands are controversial, as black metal itself was developed with the intention of encouraging anti-Christian sentiment.

Many in the black metal scene see "Christian black metal" as an impossible oxymoron: on the British black metal documentary feature film Murder Music - Black Metal (2007), which was produced by Shash Media and Rockworld TV, all interviewed musicians stated when asked about the matter that black metal cannot be Christian

In an interview, Araya said he believes that "...Christ came and taught us about love, about doing unto others. That was his preach: Accept each other for who we are. Live peacefully, and love one another." When asked if he believed in God, replied "I believe in a supreme being, yeah. But He's an all-loving God.

Tom Araya also appeared in Sam Dunn's documentary Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, and was asked about his religious background, to which he commented "Catholic."

yeah ... i try not to form my musical opinions from people that prance around in the forest in makeup ... but sure, if they wanna whine how black metal has to be "grim" and "kvlt" then whatever.

alright smart guy. You seem to really understand the underlying grounding the universe, so let me ask you this:

if entropy is a fundamental law of nature, why does anything exist, rather than nothing? if the big band is a singularity in the law of physics, and our physics can't explain what happened... what happened? where did the big bang come from? why is any of this happening?

science doesn't know. I don't know. you don't know. mythology/religion doesn't know either but frankly, its better than nothing. religion in a pure form (not fundamentalist aholes) is one of the beautiful things that humanity has done in its time. you bash it because it makes you feel smart. "Its a fiction. anyone that believes it stupid." and you're not stupid. you're very very smart.
