Now that she's not banging Nick Lachey, she has no means to sleep her way onto the charts.

Unless daddy approves, though.

I agree, she's probably just gone back to banging her dad.

/That's what you were saying right?

I wish I were immune to your run-on sentence.

I honestly find her repulsive.

It's not like country is any good now. How much worse can she make it?

*Radio station country, that is. I do enjoy some of the really old stuff, and have recently taken a liking to Neko Case

Agreed. Radio station country is just like radio station pop/rock - mostly sucks ass. There are plenty of good musicians out there putting out some great music but don't get the exposure.

The only thing Jessica Simpson would be good for is playing one of those background girls on Hee Haw.

I'd tell you to put your glasses on and take another look, but I see you already have them on.

Yep....really really repulsive

not a Jessica fan but seriously...

"as desecrated pop music to a level that has desensitized a whole generation now immune to decency and good taste"

Really? Her music is what has done all this?

wow...

There's no way she could make today's country music suck any less. Even that shiat she did with Willie Nelson was on par with the SHeDAISY-esque tripe coming out of the south.

Suck.

So in other words, perfect for country music?

This:

is not attractive to me, and when she starts talking... or acting... or singing... that's when it gets repulsive.

So someone took a nice picture of her 8 years ago, big deal.

Have any of you heard it? It's actually a pretty good song.

We played it and didn't tell the listeners who it was and
everyone liked it. Took them awhile to guess it was J.S.

Most people thought it was Jewel or Miranda Lambert.

Heard the song, it's actually pretty good.

And then there's this...

I'm not sure what anyone is complaining about.

Put a bag over her head if that bothers you. All hot women are annoying when they start talking; that's not their appeal.

So what exactly is "real" country? I've been hearing this complaint ever since I started getting into country music, and to me it's coming off as typical elitism/snobbery from people who are afraid of change.
