Great tune, happy birthday, all that, but in OTHER news...

I wondered WTF that song had to do with the first "related video" link, which was "PORNO AMATORIALE -XXX ANAL SEX". Finally, I think they connected that with "Lookin' Out My Back Door". YouTube, like the Lord and that girl in the U2 song, moves in mysterious ways.

This very week, it rained twice while the sun was shining. So yes, I have seen the rain coming down on a sunny day. Many times, in fact. Thanks for asking.

CCR is one of those bands that I can listen to at any time whatsoever. They always seem to fit whatever mood I'm in.

I agree. CCR is timeless and has music for every mood. Too bad that they burned out so fast, although Fogerty still cranks out some decent albums.

I find them really hard to listen to, but I respect your collective right to enjoy them.

Saw him recently in concert and, as usual, he was amazing. Voice is as strong as ever and, besides his immense catalog of hits, he played a smattering of lesser-known songs like "Bootleg" and "Ramble Tamble". Here's hoping he lives forever.

Viva Fogerty!

I can see where CCR would not be for everyone. I find myself enjoying the songs that don't get the major airplay. Things in the vein of "Someday Never Comes", "Porterville" and "Effigy". Radio has this very annoying habit of playing good songs so much that you cannot stand to listen to them anymore.

They're easy to listen to because every single song they've ever written is in the key of E.

Ha, I never thought about that. Quite a few are in C and D and my current favorite is in B (later changes to C). But yes, the majority of the CCR songs are in E.

I love Fogerty, but you never hear Centerfield very much at ballparks or in baseball related films or TV shows.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for the tape deck, though.
