Reference to Wilsons Heart is the latest episode of House where this song was featured.

When it comes to music used in "Wilson's Heart," I'd have to give the nod to "Passing Afternoon" by Iron & Wine, sorry.

Thanks for the info, since I assumed it was a ref to Ann and/or Nancy Wilson from Heart.

/seriously.
//good song, though.

Not nearly as good as Newton Faulkner's version. Same vibe. Done better. (new window)(not a rickroll)

It starts out a little lame, but it's not bad when it really gets into it. The original is still shiatLOADS better though. The guy's voice just isn't as pleasing as the original woman's voice.

I came here to say this.

Is the sound quality really bad, or is José singing through a mouthful of oatmeal?

Is this the same guy who did the song that was used in that Sony Bravia commercial that had zillions of super balls bouncing down the streets of San Francisco?

Awesome version, thanks.

I guess I'm an old fart, but all I expect to hear with those (exact) opening notes is the lyric "Hello darkness, my old friend..."

Glitchwerks 2008-05-28 08:05:19 AM
I think I will stick to the original, thanks.

I don't watch House much, but isn't this song (the original) used on the opening credits?

mistervague 2008-05-28 10:28:48 AM
I used to listen to that Massive Attack album on a kmart stereo that was strapped to the passenger seat of my 1982 Nissan Vanette while taking weekend snowboarding trips to Wanaka, New Zealand about a decade ago.

The cover is pretty good. I prefer the original.

best Massive Attack cover is this one, by miles and miles. I think the song is just dropped over the original M.A. video.

Live With Me (pops)

Yep. That song is called "Heartbeats," a good tune.

Thirded.

This doesn't have the same appeal as the original female's voice.

d web: This doesn't have the same appeal as the original female's voice.

That female would be Elizabeth Frazier formerly of the Cocteau Twins. I find it amusing that each interpretation of the song uses slightly different lyrics. She rarely reveals what her "actual lyrics" are. they are usually cryptic and beautiful and often misinterpreted.

Because People in power are Stupid: ... the latest episode of House...

That was the saddest episode ...
