submitter: 10 Twitter feeds that aren't a complete waste of your time

I understand what the words mean individually, but put together they make no sense

This pretty much summarizes what Twitter is all about

Must've taken a while to find ten. I've yet to find one.

How are any of these different than the actual sites they're built from, or more so, their RSS feeds?

Much smaller snippets, and you can have them go to your phone as text messages if you desire (text 40404 with "follow "). Pretty nifty for CNN news, etc.

When a huge group of us were in Las Vegas, we used Twitter a lot. We'd update Twitter when we were going from one place to another. Other people just had to "follow " to find out where someone else was going. "off " to turn it off. It was really useful at the time.. basically opt in/out mass text messaging. :)

That "Leo Laporte" bot is kinda cool.

Never has there been a stronger indication that a concept is doomed than a 10-hour-old thread on Fark with eight posts. Alas, poor Twitter.

"As NASA's Pheonix Mars Lander made its way..."

I got to the third word in the article and couldn't continue. I'm not trying to be an A-R douche, I just think that spell-checkers are available enough everywhere (even an add-on for browsers for those who can't compose in something other than a web form text box) that for people who publish magazine-style articles to send up copy that can't pass a three-word proof-read that way makes it seem like they don't want readers who read.

That may be accurate, I had never heard of twitter until I RTFA

That was the first thing I thought of, and will remain in pole position forever-onward when I hear the word ..."twitter".

Twitter is a complete waste of your time

I thought that's what StumbleUpon was for.
