That video is so rare, in fact, that it can only be seen by anyone who has access to the internet.

/+1, subby. nice find.

Three hours in, and no Werewolves of London references? I thought it was a requirement.

Over-rated crap.
The main reason people hold Warren in such high esteem isnt because he recorded excellent music or was a dynamic performer.

The main reason people hold Warren in such high esteem is that he is DEAD. And after a performer/writer/jock/politician dies every one talks about how great they were, even when they aren't.

WTF is this song about? Generic disco with stupid lyrics.
How about 'Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner'?
Barely musical and MORE stupid lyrics.

Zevon has always reminded of me of the arrogant smart kid in high school who has ALL the answers but then flunks the test cuz he couldnt be bothered to study.

He was so caught up in his own brillance that he didnt think he actually had to DELIVER the goods and he never really did.

(I DO like 'Lawyers, Guns and Money' tho')

I liked him when he was still alive...though I wouldn't call this one of his better songs.

Win.

Ok, I get that it's night time, but where?

Ironically, his dancing inspired the iPod commercials.

Awesome. I always thought a vodak named "Zevon" would be cool, considering Warren's affection for it.

mfaby: Over-rated crap.

Your opinion is duly noted. Even if it is wrong. Thank you, please play again.

I enjoyed his music when I was first exposed to it in the late 70's.
I enjoyed his music when I saw him (apparently still alive) in the late 90's.
I enjoyed his last album made when he knew he wasn't long for this world. His cover of "knockin on heavens door" is excellent.
I will continue to enjoy his music for the simple reason that I enjoy his music. Not due to the fact he died.

Please note the complete lack of the term "asshat" in the previous post.

Thank you subby - excellent find.

Remember the early 90s when young people were rediscovering Johnny Cash and Tony Bennett? Maybe now it's time for a younger generation to get some Warren Zevon and Joe Jackson on their iPods.

Oh, and what chud21 said. It's interesting to be told your interest in an artist stems from the fact that he is dead when you've been following his career since long before his death. (For "interesting" read "idiotic.")

Thank you, subby! I forgot about this song.

mfaby: This is not disco; this is funk. You, not knowing difference and attempting critical appraisal: FAIL

I miss the hell out of Warren Zevon.

seminole87: Thank you, your opinion is very important to us and has been forwarded to the department of musical opinions' historical archive.

Thank you for one of the best put downs I've seen in a while. I laughed.

Have liked Zevon for years, even before he died, contrary to what some farkers think.

You are a gentleman and a scholar*. Great thread,I'm glad it went green, more people should be exposed to his music, not just the top 40 stuff.

*subject to verification of scholastic record.
