Subby here. I just noticed that mistake. But it was also used in the European sequel, so I feel less like a "moran."

I had the same curly semi mullet, the same suit, and the same red tie.

I wish I still had that much hair.

I have a real nice lawn though, stay the fark off it.

Video would have been better with clips from the movie.

/most of the time I feel like doing that is a copout to actually making a decent video, but, in this case, the video kinda stunk

I stayed near Holloway Road tube station in London last summer... I kept singing "Holloway roaaooaooaoaoaaoaoaad" and my girlfriend ended up singing the song all the time.

I did this on the way to the Holiday Bowl! Had the whole Tahoe singing "Holiday BooooOOoOOowl!"

totally agree, this would have been better with just the first 5 minutes of Vacation, that video is as dead and cold as a prostitute halfway through a date with Patrick Bateman

I accidentally referred to him as "Lindseyham Buckingsong" once.

He was pretty good here though.

I'm remember watching that night and thining, "how come nobody else ever really rip into solos on Letterman/Leno?" It's not a particularly great solo, but he sells it. Nice custom guitar, too.

Always loved "Holiday Road," and thought his song on the Back to the Future soundtrack (new window) was pretty kickass, too.

This IS a great pop song. It doesn't matter if the lyrics are world-changing and incredibly insightful or not, it has a killer melody and a great chorus that has been stuck in your head for the last 20 years...

Oh, and VH1's chyron screwed up Buckingham's last name.

Made the song a million times better, though. I never liked that song. I thought it was some silly Billy Joel wannabe. I mean, what's up with that walking bass line and that "oh oh ohohoh" stuff? The solo is OK, as are some of the guitar parts.

I'm SHOCKED to learn it was by Lindsy Buckingham.

and check out the outro of "The Change" -- the ending solo is quite good, aggressive, melodic (kind of reminiscent of some of Andy Summers' parts, especially the solo on "Bring on the Night") The Change (new window)

ANyway, yeah, he's a very good guitar player, but solo songwriter? I dunno ...

I can just hear the director of that video now:

"Yeah, as you can see, we made a great video for Linday's 'Holiday Road' song as featured in the movie 'Brazil'... wait, wot?"

Kickass song. Great use of Fairlight.
