Looks like Republican's found evidence of actual voter fraud after all. Too bad they had to create it themselves.

Go to Hanover, Hadley and Granby. Public Document 44 (I think) shows who voted for who in every election so just go to the towns that voted more heavily for K. Healy. Hanover is a good first start, though

if this were a Dem the DoJ would have descended on this like a bird of prey. Since it's a republican they'll probably pretend to investigate it and bury it. If this is the guy they want to win. If not they'll use it to run him out.

Looks like all the "dumbass" lives in other states.

It doesn't matter. They're going for McCain in November anyway. Clinton won there adn there's no way they're voting for Obama.

That's a fail if only because people don't normally troll threads with 6 responses in them after what is approaching two hours

In 1998 a real estate agent described residents around the area of Marlboro Mass as "Very mature, very white".

Maybe this guy just isn't trying. Hell, Mitt Romney had to get at least that many legitimate votes.

When you dust off an alt, you have to troll it in a few "safe" political threads as a warmup before you head into the big league threads.

Why are they even bothering? The state speaker for Mass is trying to revoke a law passed that the governor won't fill the vacant position as a Republican isn't the governor anymore.

I didn't realize that was supposed to be trolling. I thought he/she was trying to be funny.

They're running for the seat in the regular election cycle, not the special election that would happen if Teddy resigns his seat.

In what scenario could Massachusetts go for McCain? It's a Democrat Party state. True, it is one of the most racist states in America, but it still goes Democrat. I mean they went for McGovern. They are Democrat hardcore.

Meh. While this guy is no doubt an asshat, I really have a hard time getting worked up about this. Ballot access requirements should be at the minimal level possible to keep the ballot from getting cluttered with two-hundred-something names (I'm looking at you, California) and no more. These kind of problems might not seem like a serious hurdle for a "serious" major party candidate- but that's part of the problem. These restrictions aren't just intended to ensure Joe Bob can't just decide "Hey, I wanna run fer President!" and get on the ballot- they're intended to waste the time, effort, and money of third parties. Which is why the Republicrats are usually exempt from these requirements in the general election (the Libertarians have managed to reach the electoral threshold set- usually in gubernatorial races- to get this same automatic access in a few states. I think a few other parties have managed to do it in a few places, too, but I'm not sure).

There's no reason the Libertarian and Green parties- and maybe the (horribly misnamed) Constitution Party- should be kept off the ballot. And that's what these requirements are intended to do. Oklahoma's laws in particular are very restrictive- their November ballots will most likely only include two Presidential candidates because of it.

There actually was a poll from (IIRC) March that had McCain-Obama tied at 47 in a hypothetical. It's a weird year.

The only reason that we are seeing weird polls during the primary is because Hillary supporters are skewing them by saying they will vote for McCain over Obama.

I actually watched as a friend lied on the phone to a pollster. She admitted to me after that yes, she probably will vote for Obama in November because she is pro-choice and can't have McCain replacing the old libs on the Supreme Court, but at the moment responding to a poll is a strategic decision to show that there is a reason for people to vote for Clinton. There is no incentive for Clinton supporters to be truthful with pollsters right now, so I wouldn't believe any polls until at least after the convention. (Also, with Dem registration as high as it is because of the competitive primaries in all 50 states combined with the Obama campaign's awesome Get-Out-The-Vote machine, I think we're looking at a win for Obama of historic proportions in November. All 50 states are in play.)

Hobodeluxe: if this were a Dem the DoJ would have descended on this like a bird of prey.

You're wrong, but for the right reason. The DoJ isn't mucking around with this because it's a fight between two Republicans to become the guy who loses 80-20 to Kerry.

The best thing that the party bosses pulling the strings at Justice can do is ignore it, and then a few years from now they can start saying things like "Hey, of course there's voter fraud. Remember all that voter fraud in liberal Taxachusetts back in 2008? That's why we need to install Diebold retinal scanners and anal probes at every polling place."

Did anyone else get an ad from ancestry.com in the link with a picture of a scruffy looking man kissing a crying female child? It says "discover your family heroes". Guess the scary tag was voted out due to fraud.
