My wife loved his book and voted for Bush. Now she knows the error of her ways....

Stupid people don't make good leaders.

Wow. It's like the perfect storm. Ultraliberal douche vs. Ultraconservative douche.

I respect Jello for his music, but he's a whackjob. I don't wish him to DIAF, but perhaps he could have a coughing fit caused by smoke from Savage's death fire. That would be OK.

Not to go all bitter former employee or anything but the guy also knows nothing about music or pop culture or technology or any of the things he claims to have deep knowledge of. It all comes from his behind the scenes people. THOSE guys are the most unappreciated and hard skinned people on the planet (next to me for dealing with his shiat).

I haven't read the details yet, but I'm aware of what Michael Savage did. Obviously he took my song way the hell out of context and did it deliberately. But the bigger issue is Savage himself and how the hell he gets away with stuff like saying this, and saying that people with AIDS should be put in concentration camps. And then when people protest at the station, he calls on his own listeners to come down and beat them up.

Wow. Savage really said that stuff? I don't know anything about a concentration cramp comment by Savage, but I did listen to him for about 20 minutes when there was a protest at the station. At that time he was telling his listeners to stay away from the station when some said they were going there. Did he change his mind later? Or is Jello just pulling shiat out of his ass?

Michael Savage rocks. The Jew has balls (and the worst website ever). At least he's got the stones to stand by what he believes and get pissed about it. A lot better than those mealy-mouthed, soft-talking Volvo drives over on NPR.

You're the man, Mike. Keep kicking them in the ass!!!

I don't know about anything recent, but Savage has in the past called for Muslim concentration camps, and bring back sedition as a crime (punishable by death of course). He's freaking nuts too. Sad thing is his wife is scarier. Maybe he wigs out because of her.

You're just full of surprises. What side are you on, exactly? You appear to support the status quo, and denounce anything that might be construed as "liberal."

Serious question.

This may come as a surprise to you, but I don't like/dislike someone becuase of their politics, religion, sexual orientation, culture etc; I may disagree with them on things, that doesn't automatically make me dislike them. I tend to dislike assholes who can't handle the fact that not everyone thinks like them, and look down on others just becuase they don't validate their beliefs. Besides, their music is awesome.

Yes, I used to listen to Sam Seder and Janeane a lot before Janeane left and Sam's show got moved. As a matter of fact I've conversed with Sam online a few times in the past. He had a blog he established at the start of his and Janeane's show, and I was posting on it a lot from day one until about a year and a half ago. I don't agree with a lot of stuff they said on the show, but I like to hear different views on everything. Some subjects I won't budge on, others I can be swayed from time to time depending on new evidence no matter if it goes "left" or "right". It all just depends on the issue. That's why I like Fark. It does seem to be becoming more of an echo chamber lately though.

I've heard him call for bringing back sedition as a crime. I've also heard him say positive things about Muslims as well as negative. Haven't heard him calling to put them into camps. The only time I heard him mention camps he was talking about Cuba putting gays into camps, or an island or something.

No comments regarding a farking moran who would name himself
'jello biafra'

but Savage is second ONLY to Olbermann in the 'azzhat sweepstakes'

Anyone and I DO mean 'ANY ONE' who thinks that Savage has anything, let alone anything of importance, to say is someone who is easily led and deeply angry.

It's almost like the right are terrified of Jello Biafra!

When was the last time he was on their dittohead radar? 1990?

No doubt about it: neocons are shiatting in their Huggies.

Hell, I even like Jello and I know he's not worth targeting.

You see, the thing I don't get is how someone could like the DKs and not agree with them politically. There's like one non-political song per album. Unless the only thing you know is "Too Drunk to Fark," you really should have no business listening to them unless you subscribe to their newsletter.

I am a DKs fan even though I consider their politics to be puerile. I don't have to agree with a song's perspective to enjoy it. Heck, I even enjoy Jello's rants even when he is totally wrong...for instance, his pathetic whining about wanting a new 'Fairness Doctrine' (Orwellian enough title for ya?). He actually wants the government to decide matters of speech and 'fix' things so that his points of view get aired with greater frequency. The thing he just doesn't grasp about this is that, contrary to what Billy Bragg (another favorite of mine) sang, there are not just "two sides to every story". There are frequently many sides to a story. Does Jello want 'Fairness' to include all perspectives or just a governmentally selected few? I suspect that he just wants to see conservative talk shows squelched by government force.

muck4doo: Or is Jello just pulling shiat out of his ass?

I think Jello is confusing two of Mr. Savage's statements. He once famously told a gay caller "you should only get AIDS and die, you pig." You can decide for yourself whether that's better or worse than what Jello thought Mr. Savage had said.

Gyrfalcon [TotalFark] 2008-05-24 02:16:30 AM
Weeeeellllll.......

I loved the DK's back in the day; otoh, Jello was famously sued by the other DK's in the 1990's for cheating them out of back royalties, and famously lost to the tune of some $120K; thus demonstrating the breach between what we thought we were in 1980 and what we became in 2000.

Michael Savage needs to be hung by his balls and tortured to death; I've already delineated my preferred method of enhanced interrogation so I needn't reiterate it here. Jello, for his part, talks a good talk, but he hasn't been walking the walk lately. Nuff said.

Let's not mince words. Eric "Jello Biafra" Boucher is about as out of his gourd as Michael "Savage" Weiner.

Is it still feeding the troll if you're as much of a troll?

Jello has a soft brain so does Savage. Bringing back the Fairness doctrine really? Code words for "liberal radio can't make it on its own and must be subsidized."

Bindyree 2008-05-24 08:42:09 AM
Using Dead Kennedys music for bumpers when discussing the plight of Senator Ted Kennedy is stupid, mean, cruel, punitive, and beyond tasteless on Mr. Savage's part.

But for Jello Biafra of *all* people to suggest limitations on this?

When he was busy making music and political statements, he didn't have a problem at all with how our country's airtime was doled out.

The word is "hypocrite".
