Weezer used to be the gateway drug of rock music. Getting really into them was the best way to transition from MTV/radio hits into snobby indie rock.

I'm not a big fan of the song, but I definately dig the video. Weezer and the Foo Fighters videos are pretty much the only ones worth watching anymore.

Who cares? It's funny. People who put on the "music snob" hat are usually dicks with a few MP3's who think they are music experts.

Weezer makes goofy pop music with feeling. They do it well. The world doesn't need another (insert name of super-experimental artist who makes music by banging on logs and manipulating recordings of flatulence.) Or even worse, the (insert name of superstar DJ who had his studio engineer make an album while he was out smoking crack and then stuck his name on it.)

This new "electroclash" stuff is obnoxious, and Juan, Egyptian Lover and the Jedi Knights need to come and kick your arse.

The first electro "revival" back in the mid-90's was cool. Whatever this new stuff is, it has NO funk, and without the funk, you have a dull, dull record. Since they are making the stuff abrasive as hell, with no flow, it's just...yech. Not for me.
