It's a good thing I'm smart and have a child. I can actually help the problem instead of just pointing it out.

I really don't see the racism in Roswell. We have many different ethnicities in our neighborhood and many of the surrounding neighborhoods as well. The public school system is certainly diverse. I suspect this is just the ignorant minority making the most noise (and doing graphic design for the Beacon).

Because there's very little actual integration. Everything's still split up into "black neighborhoods" and "white neighborhoods".

I doubt it. Obama is disliked by racists, but the day of violent racists knowing that they could get a free pass is pretty much over. Unless you are a cop, killing minorities tends to be frowned upon in America, even by racists. There are violent racists, but it isn't as if they can just walk up to him and do anything. Think about all the racial seperatists we have in the country. There are over 1,000 hate groups. A lot are armed. How much violence do they do?

Bush is actually hated by people in America. There are people that feel he should be brought up on war crimes. There are people that believe he is the worst president ever. He is hated far more than Obama.

The assassination fears are pretty baseless. I will admit that America is still a racist country, but blacks have more to fear from blacks when it comes to murder than they do about some angry rogue white person trying to kill them. It just doesn't happen often enough to be afraid of it. The exception of course is cops. There is a lot to worry about when cops are involved because they know they can go unpunished.

If you're fan of crazy, you must have loved Geraldine Ferraro trying to say Obama's gesture of brushing off his shoulder was a sexist attack intended to "diminish" Hillary. I was unamused. I was sickened.
