The 'Simply The Best' hitmaker, who is gearing up for a comeback

Seems like she is using Amy to promote herself.

Turner went through a lot more crap than Winehouse ever did. I think she doesn't need to promote herself...shes just seen this kind of thing way too often already. She acting like a grandmother who hates to see young lives wasted....Now if Modonna said it, yes there would be some business interest behind it.

It's the whole "comeback" thing that sets off alarm bells. IIRC, Tina was supposedly the top concert performer a decade ago. True, she has gone through a lot, but with the exception of Ike Turner jokes, when was the last time she was really mentioned, especially in terms of music? I know she lives in Europe now, so she have some fame over there, but I haven't heard her mentioned in America in about 4 years (60 minutes did a special on her, a "where are they now?" type thing).

People have been telling Amy to get help for years. They were hassling her so much that she wrote a song about it, a song which is her staple. Tina said nothing new, nothing different, she doesn't appear to be close to Amy. Amy has heard all this before. She hears it all the time from her parents. All this sets of alarm bells regarding Tina wanting to get her name mentioned. Tina could have gone through back channels, but she went public. It's not as if Tina is a nobody who had no way of doing this privately.

Get your songs right...that is the guy that played sax in "We don't need another Hero"...

He was very prominent in all of Tina Turner's Videos at the time...

Oh yeah! I remember now ...

Maybe I'm silly, but the best use of music in "The Lost Boys", that picture is from it. How I LOVED that movie in junior high...

"I Still Believe"

Sort of like how my sister, many years later is all, "I Know What you Did Last Summer" is the BEST movie ever...

Oh, youth, one just doesn't know any better

/which is why Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Nickleback, and all that other shiat sells tons of records --- junior high kids who literally don't know any better

// can't wait for them to grow up and be all 'wtf were we thinking?!??!?"

/end of line
