Also, it's a party tradition - we watch it, get drunk, laugh at it.

The final is great, cause Terry Wogan does a politically incorrect and rather drunken commentary. Really awesome fun.

I must admit I used to love Dustin when I was a kid, but putting him (it, I suppose) in the contest is just a mockery. Sure, the Eurovision is stupid and cheesy, but Ireland has won it a record number of times, and we managed to do that without resorting to gimmicks. We used to be able to do good songs, but since we started letting the public decide, and put on an "American Idol"-type show to decide the contestant, all our recent entries have been crap.
