As a fan through the 90s, I've lost a lot of interest (in all current music). They been playing for 20 years, pretty amazing. Hopefully they will enjoy a break and continue in the future.

The problem is that it was their last good album, and it was released in 1989. And I say that as a lunatic fan who's seen them multiple times and who stood in line to buy BSSM. I don't know if it's a question of sold out, burned out, mellowed out, or what, but that was one of the most promising bands in recent memory and, therefore, one of the biggest disappointments.

He is not a musician. he is the anti musician. He met a bunch of skilled guys who couldnt find anyone else and rode it to the top. I hate that bastard with a passion.

I didn't like their last album, but the previous 3 were excellent. Hopefully when they come back they are reinvigorated.

When I saw them on the Stadium Arcadium tour, they didn't play a single song from Mother's Milk. I was saddened.
The Mars Volta opened. I was quite impressed with them.

Interesting tidbit: Flea was in The Big Lebowski. No, seriously.

ditto on Mother's Milk... one of the best albums of the 90s, from 1989. They were so on fire! "Move over rover, and let Mr. Huckleberry take over". Their cover of "Fire" was one of the few covers of any songs that stands up next to the original...The last few albums have been terminally boring. I tried to like "Stadium Arcadium", but gahhhhzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzzz.

i know that there's far worse bands out there, and in general if i don't like a band you won't get more than a "meh" out of me, but for whatever reason these guys have annoyed the piss out of me for years and years now. same goes for The Police. those jerks.

I, too have a problem with Keidis. I firmly believe him to be the worst lyricist in the history of modern music.
