Baba O'Riley is, quite possibly, the greatest rock song ever written.

Who? They Might Be Giants!

"It's a long long rope they use to hang you soon I hope
And I wonder why this has to happen.
Why? Why? Why?
And I think about the dirt
That I'll be wearin' for a shirt
And I hope that I get old before I die."

Townshend is a f***ing genius.

Boring albums from Pete are more interesting than good albums from other artists.

Pete is currently working on the followup to "The Kids Are Alright", tentatively titled "The Kids Are F**kin Sexy".

They were so at home live on the stage--there's no way that their records could convey that passion. How many bands today feel as comfortable doing a show as The Who?

Ugh....you did NOT just compare DMB to The Who did you??? DMB are talented musicians, yes...but shiate music to go along with one of the most obnoxious and hack fan bases ever.

I worked on TOMMY for 10 years. Always loved Pete. Crazy smart.

He would play for us in these bars with about 20 tables.

Great times...

The Who, "The Kids Are Alright" = irony?

Here's a version from '74 I've never seen before. Sounds like Keith tries to come in early...

And of course, it's mandatory that we include the most awesome Ox-Cam isolation version. The isolation on Won't Get Fooled Again may be even better, if that's possible. Thunderfingers, indeed!

One of Pete's finer moments, IMHO...

Happy birthday, you magnificent old fart.

I wish I could live in a house in which the walls are made from Hiwatts and Sunn Coliseums.

You know a song reaches a special level when you know what it is after about 1/10th of a second of playtime. Love the song, the intro is great.

How's that book on child sexual abuse and pornography you've been "working" on for ten years coming along, Pete?

Not the 'BEST' rock song but a far shot but maybe the best
INTRO to a rock song; Top Five for sure.

Funny think watching these clips, tho', NONE of them look particularly happy to be on stage; they all look like they are at war with each other.
