yeah, right. Toronto is certainly the only city in North America I'd want to play.

Interesting theory. All I know is that Plant and Krauss are booked for the ACL Fest in September.

I would kill my entire family to attend this.

WTF? How is this even possibly true?

I heard that the reunited Pink Floyd had the Skydome reserved for the month of August, so obviously this can't be true.

I live near Toronto.
Skydome is now called the Rogers Centre (ugh!)

A couple of months ago, I did hear a rumour that Zeppelin would be playing in June or July at Molson Park which is near Barrie, which is about 45 minutes north of Toronto.

I hope it's true... oh puhleeeeeeeeze...

real shaman: yeah, right. Toronto is certainly the only city in North America I'd want to play.

If you were only going to do four dates in this continent, it's not a bad idea. It's a huge venue in a downtown setting with a few million people in the immediate surrounding area, and more than half the US & Canadian population within 500 miles. Plus the governments of Canada and Ontario would bend over backwards to make it financially attractive.

And it's safe, easygoing and relatively hassle free. There's a reason why The Rolling Stones come here to practice before most tours.

This is NOT true. Plant and Krauss have tour dates clear through October.

FTA: No fancy tour of the U.S., but Toronto will have FOUR dates at Skydome/Rogers Centre this coming August.

If you believe this, I have a two-mile-high termite mound to sell you.

According to their site and Pollstar, the tour ends on July 19th. They have a couple festival dates scheduled in late September and early October, but that's it.

Subby here. There have been numerous rumours about this ever since the reunion show last December. I've heard the whole show and it was much better than I would have given them credit for, expecting Plant to be the weak link. It made me want to hear more... some new songs even.

Most of the rumours before sounded good, some were stupid. Somehow I think this one is real. Based on other rumours coming out of Jason Bonham's camp, I just do.

Yes, Plant is having a great time touring with Krauss but he also admitted he really enjoyed playing with Page and Jones again. To do both in the same year would be nirvana to him so I think he is going to do it.

/I'm also pretty sure this upcoming Yes 40th anniversary tour is their last one

sounds great

and even though i live within walking distance of the venue
i won't be able to get tickets because they'll all sell out in 30 seconds online

to a subsidiary of ticketmaster that then resells them at black market value.

IT'S A SHAME
it's a show i would actually appreciate

FredGarvin 2008-05-18 11:56:39 PM
Somehow I doubt it.

Plant really doesn't seem to want to, and they don't need the money.

OTOH, If they do any more shows, I'd expect just a few dates in enormo-stadiums in large cities like new york, LA or someplace like Toronto.

I saw Page and Plant about 10 years ago. Second row tickets were my reward for graduating high school. Page was drooling as he played, which I think enhanced the performance. My 16 year old girlfriend was jumping up and down and blowing kisses at Plant, who had to be 60 by then.

Which would make him 70 now?

Robert Plant won't be 60 for another few months yet. All things considered, he appears to be holding up quite well.

What happened to their airplane?

Madbassist1 [TotalFark] 2008-05-19 12:50:16 PM
I would think the boys would weant to rehearse before playing a big shew. With Plant on tour, it seems unlikely.

They'd have over month of rehearsal time, and they just spent several months rehearsing just a little while back. For that matter, the band could rehearse without Page pretty easily.

Plant, I meant. Bleh.
