It's actually 58 years ago 5 days ago, but who's counting when the song is so cool? And it's Stevie!!

This is an awesome performance of Superstition from Sesame Street no less. Watch the kid on the balcony:

Bonus: Ray "Ghostbusters" Parker Jr. on guitar.

I named my first kid Stevland.

There's a little controversy on the intertubes, with it spelled Steveland in some places, but if you look on a press release of his latest kid (about 3 yrs ago) the release, parrotting what the family told him to say, spells it Stevland, and that's how it's spelled on the Innervisions & Fulfillingness covers.

Rock on, genius.

/My kid's middle name is Aron, as in Elvis Aron Presley
//Wife wouldn't let me name the second kid
///Was going to be Derek James, after Mr. Flint and Mr. Bond

saw stevie at jazzfest in new orleans. his show sucked. he yacked for 15 minutes about voting for obama, then introduced his daughter for another 20 minutes. those 35 minutes came out of a one hour set. i was very disappointed. love my CDs, though.
