OK, the Kennedy Assassination was interesting, if you hadn't already known that Kennedy had been assassinated.

I woke up this morning and turn on my computer. The computer took a couple minutes to boot up. I downloaded some updates. I checked the news. I checked the weather. I made myself a cup of coffee. Then I read a few other websites before I a came to Fark. On Fark there was a link about milk cartons that the submitter hinted was less dull than I would think.
But it wasn't less dull. It was very dull, but it was nice. I hate you, Nilda Rego.

FTA: Art Dreshfield of Rossmoor knows a lot about paper. His whole professional career, which has been a long one, has involved paper.

Part of that career was with Fibreboard in Antioch, when its research facility was in the old brick Riverview High School. This is now the Antioch History Museum.

Wow, that HAS been a long career.. But no mention of the Holy Hand Grenade. Maybe work on the Book of Armaments is still classified, all those hundreds of years later.

Don't mean nothin' by this, but why do so many inventors of neat-o little everyday gadgets and processes turn out to be of Jewish heritage? Sid Rosenthal invented felt tip pens, eeensy paper packets were the doing of some family in Brooklyn who were farked up enough to inspire a documentary, Sandy Redmond came up with Dispensrpak...

/name's Art Dreshfield
//married to "kind of a city girl"
///gives tours of FDR's yacht
///just assuming

Oh, there are plenty of neat little invention that get invented by other people. They just never get documentaries. Isn't that convenient.

this one quote makes it worth posting, k

"A salesman came to see me. I told him, 'I know you have an appointment, but come back Monday. The president has been assassinated, my mother-in-law missed her plane and the lab is on fire.'"

Last week's "Teacher's photo shows more skin than most of these stories" headline has made me trigger shy. I came here to find the truth before clicking the article. Thanks for saving me from 5 minutes of boredom.

/also learned a new word!

WTF is a beer carton?

I'm not sure I would drink a beer that came in a carton.

Scratch that, I'm pretty damned sure I would not drink a beer that came in a carton.

who drinks beer from a carton?

Thanks subby! I for one found the article intersting.

Say, anyone else ever pop milk cartons? Take an empty one, close the flaps and push the top down flat. Place it upside down on the floor and stomp it hard!

/yes, I got in trouble!

Sounds like to me the report met some random old guy in a bar or at some social function, he tried to hit on her by telling a bunch of stories, and she wrote them down. Not exactly news.
