Why not? Al Gore can predict the weather 100 years from now.

It's easier to make a prediction when the odds are 1:2 than when they're 1:146,107,962

There was a local 'psychic' here in Dallas who said she predicted the Dallas Stars Stanley Cup win, and even predicted the date that Tom Landry died on... yet I never heard any of these 'predictions' until after the fact.

Lionel Mandrake [TotalFark] 2008-05-17 06:49:39 PM
Ackerman declined to reveal her pick. But she did say Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney are top Democratic and Republican vice presidential hopefuls, based on their charts.

Your charts suck.

FTFA: "It's funny how in this age of reason, we've gotten unreasonable. We have gotten out of touch with our own natural rhythms of heaven and earth."

Hilarious to hear an astrologer talking about "reason". Is anyone else scared that the percentage of Americans believing in astrology is 25%? Of course, that could be a wildly inflated figure depending on what you mean by "believe in". Probably a lot more people read newspaper horoscopes than actually believe in the woo behind it.

Farking Conservative media bias.

Hillary is the only hope the Democrat Party has. America will simply not vote for Obama. He will be McGoverned, Mondaled, Dukakised. Obama can't even close out the nomination of his own party. Dems will flock to McCain, especially since the Maverick image hasn't completely worn off even though it's obviously bs. McCain's biggest problem is the conservatives, but they aren't voting for anyone but him.

This is going to be easiest election for a Republican in a long time (since 88, where Dukakis was even up by double digits a few weeks before the election). McCain doesn't even have to put in effort. The Democrats have done the job for him. It's amazing to watch. Democrats still believe they have a chance to win.

Hillary could have pulled it off, but the Dems blew it.

McCain's proven he can punt, but can he get the slam dunk the Republicans need in the 9th inning?

Dude, what are you smoking and where can I buy some? Seriously, let's think about this. The last three (out of three) special elections to the House returned Democrats in districts that had been Republican for more than a decade. Obama has already proven that he CAN'T be "McGoverned, Mondaled, or Dukakised," thanks to his easy survival of the Jeremiah Wright controversy. McCain faces a very uphill battle in November, and everyone but you (even senate and house republicans admit they're in trouble) seem to realize this.

Either that or I just fed the trolls.

Were these liberal Democrats routing conservative Republicans? Red states have no issue with voting for Democrats at the state level as Democrats are moderate to conservative there.

As I recall there were TV political ads in all those districts placed by the republicans which attempted to link the Dem candidates to Obama, Pelosi, etc.

They failed.

Nice logic there, guy. Hillary the One Party Hope, as you call her, can't close it out either, in case you hadn't noticed. And do you really think Democrats are going to vote for an original Neocon over "the most liberal senator in the universe"? McCain's plans for this country are insane. That's all. Bush at least ran on a sane-sounding platform in 00. McCain's not having any of that rubbish.

Hillary is the only hope the Democrat Party has.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

This is due to elements of the Democrat Party that won't be much of a factor come November. Democrats made the same mistake in 2004. Democrats are notorious for putting forth unelectable candidates.

Obama is what we deserve and what they deserve, over there... I can support Obama (or not vote McCain) for the simple reason that I would like to see the faces of the poseur EUnuchstan's after Obama is erected. Is this what it was like in 1938?

What were smart, vulnerable, people, doing in 1938? Too many smart vulnerable people got along so as to get along. Those who pissed most on W and America, love the empty suit called Obama because 'they' like covers and not deep books.

:(

Americans are stupid, that's for sure. But to assume they're dumb enough to vote for a socialist noob like Obama simply because they don't like Bush, well, who knows....Americans may be that dumb. Hell, they voted for Bush. Twice. If that isn't stupid, I don't know what is. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit by assuming they won't go to the other EXTREME.

I have a core belief that all politicians are evil and only want to get rich (nothing wrong with getting rich, but not when they put their interest before the countries). They are normally lawyers and in general, I believe most of them have no soul.

Just my opinion, not valid in all 50 states, void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary.

Unlike the last two elections where...oh, right. But before that there was Dole and Clinton, two pretty decent candidates, one of them reasonably guaranteed not to fark up the nation.

But it's usually hardcore turd-on-turd action.
