Can we import this practice? When a woman breaks up with you she has to give you one of her friends.

I can not imagine such a horrible crime could have committed against a wife. This is absoloutly wrong.

Haha. So, even though it is a part of the wife's family tradition that the Husband WANTS to break, and the wife chooses to obey it, so much so that she threatens divorce if he tries to break it again, somehow, it's a violation of womens rights, and she's the victim. Awesome.

Even by strictest rules/interpertations in Islam (and not every muslim is conservative, or ultra-conservative), a woman is allowed to be completely naked with her husband - face included... so I just don't understand this... this is not the norm...even in highly religious regions.

The veil is so that only the husband and family can see. Most muslims worldwide don't even do that (but most do wear hijab). I'm a muslim and I personally don't like the black things either, it evokes a similar reaction in me as I imagine it does in many of you. Unless, of course, I was in Sa'udi, in which case I wouldn't care, obviously.

It couldn't be more different from keeping your boobies covered, which is obviously justified not only by tradition and religious scripture, but also by the laws of physics, evolutionary biology, and developmental psychology.
