Really? I came to give the subby some applause for this.
One of us is wrong...

I think it's ironic if you accept the pun. But I'm no expert like everyone else here.

It's a great headline because it is an amusing pun. +1

Puns aren't inherently ironic, though. This one isn't for sure. But really, who cares. It's an amusing headline. Hooray headline!

I accept pretty much any and all puns. They're always good for a laugh.

ps, I never said that I wasn't the one who is wrong... just that one of us was.

gstone, that's awesome.

I never knew John Cleese would be the type to do such a thing.

Yes, but did any of them have polka dots?

lelio 2008-05-17 11:40:34 AM
How did he cover it up? Its not like the missing body parts are going to go unnoticed. "Okay class today we're going to look at the spleen. Open him up intern! ... Whoa its not there. Guess we have a mutant, on to the next one"

Excellent headline, submitter. Prosecutors say the guy doesn't have a leg to stand on.

With the modern definition pretty much anything can be ironic, it just depends on how you look at it.

ANTENNANAUT 2008-05-17 12:23:40 PM
That took a lot of balls.

there are not enough "h" and "a" keys on my computer to express how funny that is.

Like Shakespeare wrote it.

CravenMorehead 2008-05-17 01:00:18 PM
Even though he doesn't have a leg to stand on you have to hand to the guy. He stuck his neck out but he got bit in the ass and that takes a lot of balls.

thelordofcheese: Like Shakespeare wrote it.

I wondered who would break down and reference futurama. I almost put in the Weeners as a simple "Now that IS irony!"

Great headline and if you accept the pun, you accept the irony. I, for one, loves me some puns. Therefore, I accept your irony.

I was gonna make my own puns, but I don't think I can top that. Hehehe

Subtle-- nicely played!

Irony is unexpected. It's actually not ironic that the Head of a cadaver program would traffic in body parts.. it's much more expected that this person, more than other people in the general population, would be involved in this criminal activity. In fact, I'm sure the police were looking for someone in the business. Definitely not ironic. Not even coincidence. Merely amusing.

What about the footnotes?

Much better than "pew pew pew".
Sick , wrong, and +++.

After reading subbies' headline, I'm stumped as to what's actually going on...except that I think someone's pulling my leg.
