Remember first hearing Arc of a Diver in college
He was only 15 when he started in the Spencer Davis Group
My daughter got me tickets to see him in Auburn Hills for my birthday.... I can't wait.

Saw him a couple of years ago and he played all sorts of good stuff from traffic and his solo career. Going to see him open again for Tom Petty later on this year :D I can't wait, great musician.

/just so long as I don't have to listen to roll with it

Some bootleg live Blind Faith for y'all from 1969: "Can't Find My Way Home."

Way better than the version on the Blind Faith DVD. Clapton's guitar and Winwood's organ solo are siiiiiiick.

Dig.

No kidding! Thanks for that -- it is better than the Hyde Park performance, where his voice gets a bit raspy in spots. And the mix is better, too.

Did a cover of that back in the 90's (for an odd little compilation a friend wanted to put together) and had to take it WAY down to find a key I was comfortable with. The guitarist was all "it starts in C" and I was going "not with me singing, it isn't -- Try F, please and thank you!" No way, no how could I sing like him in a million years.

Here's a performance of the song with Clapton from just last year, and I guess even Steven's showing some slight signs of mortality: he appears to have gone down a half step now himself. Still sounds incredible though. Just wish he was playing organ instead of guitar...
