At a probable cause hearing on May 7, Judge Barry Tatum ruled that there was enough evidence to send the case to a grand jury, which will decide whether to indict Morrow, Bland and Joshua Stubblefield.

Stubblefield wore a wire during the exchange, authorities said.

Thanks for wearing that wire!

Thras 2008-05-11 12:41:36 PM
The third kid was wearing a wire, but police are charging him anyway? WTF?

I suppose that the wire could have been planted on him without his knowledge (the police say they've known since November because someone tried to buy 'an untraceable gun for a murder.'

Or maybe he made the recording himself, and the police found it. Still, pretty strange.

Primum non nocere 2008-05-11 12:45:27 PM
I was buying some term life insurance a few years ago. Seems like the agent said the premium relative to the benefit has an artificial bump at the $1M payout range, and that they will scrutinize the >$1M policies much more because of the increased temptation for foul play. Maybe I'm wrong.

But I guess being overinsured can unintentionally invite trouble. So I make sure all my family members know that I'm leaving the estate to the cats.

uncoveror 2008-05-11 12:52:34 PM
Life insurance and inheritance are the number one and two motives for murder. If the estate tax were 100%, a lot fewer people would be killed, and our national debt would soon be paid off.

"'Kids sit down and talk about (murdering their parents) and never follow through with it,' he said."

How true that is. Why hardly a weekend would pass that me and my friends wouldn't sit around and plan to kill our folks.... good times.

I always talked about pimp-slapping my old man, but that's about it.

$150,000?! For a hit? You can get a first-rate hit for $15,000. Also, the contract almost certainly won't be fulfilled by a narc-ass high schooler. Jesus, what retards!

"Kids sit down and talk about things and never follow through with it,"

Maybe not most, but some. My twin sisters, 14, tried to murder me and my parents. I don't trust kids anymore, ever. When people talk about killing someone, in-depth, and intricately plan it, that goes beyond saying "Gosh, I wish my mom would just die!"

Just a little nugget of useless info.

In Texas, if you have more than one child, you can't insure one and not the other, and the insurance amounts must be very close or equal.

/used to sell insurance

Her bf, bts, could fly with those ears of his.

I hope her mom gives her estate to a deserving pet sanctuary.

Snakeophelia [TotalFark] 2008-05-12 07:30:38 AM
So the daughter is out on bond? And she's living with her mother? And people really think that's a good idea?

Are there no other relatives she could stay with? Or is Mom just the only one deluded enough to believe the daughter is an innocent little princess?
