Remember that time, when Steven King's taste in music and movies and everything like that was interesting?

Me neither. Go back to turning out your 10 boilerplate books a day, Stevie.

No, I'm not scrolling through 20 pages to Steven King's favorite songs. Not evar.

I LOVED the surprise ending.

The only old guy who could have an interesting top 20 was John Peel and he's dead now.

Slide shows are obnoxious. This is the last one I ever bother to look at.

Another list. This is what our internet has become. And do you think this was not just his personal assistant's top 20?

StormDawg 2008-05-11 10:41:41 AM
Certainly nothing scary about Allison Moorer...

"Candida"? "Wild Wild West"? This guy does have some demons

Nice to see Alejandro Escovedo on his list.

Another bullspit list of a writer's favorite music?

Who cares? Especially if it's Stephen King?

A list so asinine that he will put out ANOTHER one in three or six months telling us how he really did't mean what he posted on THIS one.

Grow up 'Uncle' Stevie; you sound like a farking moron and are only lessening whatever relevancy you once had. WHY EW ever gave
you a column is beyond most people's understanding.

What's your NEXT list gonna be? Your Top Twenty reasons for STILL
hating Nixon?

I'd read that list.

I'm guessing it would change +/- 50% on any given day but here's a list (new window) of his top 20 albums of all time as of '97.

I never would've guessed King to be an Ozark Mountain Daredevils fan. Or a Los Straitjackets fan...
/slide show hatin' hillbilly

Lots of King haters, I see. Ah well, Silly little boys will be silly little boys.

/Knows King isn't nearly as bad as mouth-breathers on soap-boxes.

There's medication to calm you, ya know. Have some.

Well they all pretty much sucked IMO except for #1, Tube Snake Boogie. My band performs that at every show and it's always fun for us and the audience.

No wonder he churns out bad horror for a living.

Wow, Stephen King has really shiatty taste in music.

"Very nice, Stephen. A sly declaration of new classic status slipped into a bunch of safe ones- very pussy!"

I could have sworn King was a huge Ramones fan. Isn't that how he got them to do that song for "Pet Sematary?"

Because they needed something to draw people's attention away from loving a movie in one part of the rag and slamming it in another part. Why not have a novellist write about his musical choices when you have disgruntled, failed film students writing your movie reviews?

/Yes, EW sucks.

Say what you will, but Cell was pretty good.
