Come to think of it, I *have* seen a marked decline in "W" stickers lately.

Guess who was president 16 years ago? Where is your 16-year-old daughter right now?

Hobodeluxe [TotalFark] 2008-05-11 07:12:24 AM
They brought it on themselves. They had plenty of chances to rein in Bush and Cheney. Too late to do anything now ,even if they had the balls to take them on.

Nope. Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.

I'd rather admit to being rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shiat-kickers and Methodists than a republican.

/hoping everyone gets this

About three years ago, I happen to see my neighbor, a life-long republican (yes, they do exist in MA) outside scraping the "So glad I voted for Bush" sticker off his car...

Buyer's remorse can be a biatch.

Like the democrats after the 2004 election, the republicans have no one to blame but themselves for the state of their party at the moment.

"Power does not corrupt men; fools, however, if they get into a position of power, corrupt power."

I was driving around Philly last week and saw a truck with a W sticker on one side and a Rick Santorum sticker on the other.

I was just shocked. To be in the presence of such an endangered species... really makes you think about things.

Sun God: Guess who was president 16 years ago?

That's a weird way to phrase a question, but I'll give it a shot...George H.W. Bush.

I saw a truck with an Impeach Clinton sticker the other day.

There's a guy in my neighborhood that had a Gerlach sticker and a Bush/Cheney sticker and he's since scraped them off. You can still see a tiny bit of it left on the bumper.

Enemabag Jones 2008-05-11 09:04:22 AM
Give it 15 years. Then the republicans might have valid talking points and the democrats will be back to graft and scandal like in the mid-80s. The whole thing cycles.

/The corruption of the RNC was amazing by any yardstick in early 2000's.

KeatingFive 2008-05-11 09:08:16 AM
Even in the military, it's down to 47%. Bush is obviously the best thing to happen to Democrats in years.

And you don't seriously believe the Dems will do anything productive with the opportunity the GOP is handing them, do you?

Things are so bad that many people don't even want to call themselves Republicans.

It's ironic that they GOP has managed to make both "liberal" and "republican" bad words.

ooooh, what's it like, being rich? Or are you merely short-sighted? (new window)

El Morro 2008-05-11 09:23:23 AM
Through all this, I just really, REALLY hope at some point Bush is going to have an awakening where he realizes what a complete and total disappointment and failure he has been, not only to his father, but to his country and all the people who went out of their way to get him into office.

I would be willing to pay so much to just see the look on his face right at that moment.

Plus, it would be cool to see him slip on a banana peel and bust his ass at the podium. for some reason, it seems like such a real possibility with him...

Its great, actually. And in this country if you go to school and then work hard, you too can not qualify for the tax rebate. Class warfare is so unattractive. I worked hard for everything I have and make no apologies.

Churchill had it right when he said... if you are young and conservative then you have no heart, but if you are old and liberal then you have no brain.

I'm still a proud Republican and a supporter of the President and the war.

What George W Bush, our President has done in the last 8 years have been amazing. From squashing the terrorist threat (no attacks since 9/11!), to boosting the economy with tax-cuts (can't blame the Pres for the sub-prime crisis) to revitalizing Africa the President has done a great job for this country.

The liberal media has distorted the image of the President and that's why people are feeling uncomfortable admitting that they're Republicans.

The times will change though. If we get a lib in the white house next year people will realize how good we've had it for the last 8 years. Mot that I think that will happen when the dems have candidates like B. Hussein and Shrillary.

Four more years.

Actually, I think it was Aristide Briand who said that originally, and he used the word "socialist", not "liberal".
There is, or should be, a significant difference.

I doubt that these people have abandoned their political values they are just really embarrassed as to what republicans in charge have done in the name of those political values.
And if I'm right, then screw everyone one of these jackholes for choosing McCain (McSame) as their front runner!! They had a choice to vote on conservative principles but thanks to FUX News, Hannity, Limbaugh even Boortz their little zombie brains wouldn't allow it.
It's true that you can't always get want you want but in this election you'll never want what you get.

Thank god he doesn't have any influence!

That's not what happened. The father actually used said daughter as a battering ram, but keep believing a hit-piece against the Truthers rather than watching the video clip of the actual event and thinking for yourself.

Nice runaround. Let's hear you explain how the fact that it was the Truther who was actually assaulted was twisted around into a lie, in spite of video evidence to the contrary, and tell us why you believe it.

I don't have a problem admitting I'm a Republican. I also don't have a problem admitting that once again, due to the jackasses the Republican party chooses for its candidates--I will be voting virtually all-Democratic this election. Again.

Besides, it seems a lot of Republicans have been voting in Democratic primaries this election. They are doing it with a smirk on their faces, too. I hope they are still smiling that smug smile in November.

Thank you ohnonotfloridaagain for my free month of TotalFark!!!
I hope you gave it to me because one of my posts made you laugh.
Anyways, THANKY YOUIEEE!!!!
