Tons of cool ways to use a Mac heavily marketed corporate branding to the song of "Again & Again" by the Bird & the Bee define who you are.

/you are not your kakhis
//you could do the same thing on a PC, but it wouldnt be as cool or edgy

Tourney3p0 2008-05-11 05:45:31 AM
Wait, let me get this straight..

Macs can play movies, edit documents, AND browse a filesystem?

I can completely see why they want to show everyone what they're capable of doing these days.

gtothemacp 2008-05-11 05:48:27 AM
Im pretty impressed likes just waiting for someone to point out the irony of the use of Word.

(i have a G4 Ibook and use Mac Office because Pages is ruuuuuuuuuuubbbiiisssssssssh)

Anagrammer 2008-05-11 06:01:17 AM
The most impressive part is that it was shot all in one take, in real time!

/Wait, that was "Here it goes again"

I like Pages. I like Numbers, too. I don't use Keynote or I'd comment on that.

Sure, I've used Microsoft Word for fifteen years. Now that I have a Mac, I want to use a program that cooperates with human interface guidelines. Pages does that. What else do I need?

It's neat, although you could do it even cooler in Compiz. Also, lawl at using your music video as blatant advertisement.

skinink 2008-05-11 07:41:47 AM
I'm waiting for the Chocolate Rain version.

Oakenshield 2008-05-11 08:21:23 AM
Would hit it Again and again

betona 2008-05-11 08:38:03 AM
Let's not play that song any more. Mkay?

Cameron_Talley 2008-05-11 08:50:04 AM
I saw this yesterday. Don't care for the song but the video was pretty cool. Must have taken a LONG time. Heck, he changes operating systems in the middle of the video! Must have upgraded whilst making this.

Scutter 2008-05-11 08:51:24 AM
I would hit it again and again and again, but I would turn the damn song off first.

WOW... a whole lot of blah there. Think about it. Without YouTube all those film students and graphic designers would have never had anywhere to push so much stuff on so few who care.

Like a "gallery" near the art school.

Zorkthemadman 2008-05-11 09:57:09 AM
Now I have that damn song stuck in my head... it's so sing-songy and cute that it won't go away...

/I need to drink an entire slushie, get brain freeze to make it go away...

picturescrazy 2008-05-11 10:14:21 AM
Ugh, video was kind of cool, but not very original, and could have easily been done an a Windows PC. I only say ugh because you just know Mac users are going to pass this around to show off how cool Macs are.

Anyways, I couldn't watch the whole thing. The song was just annoying and it's still playing in my head again and again.

Yes, but you would need to put the spread sheet away and quit playing WoW.

morning_foil: I wish my PC could do those things! Oh, wait...

Really PC's have virtual desktops in the OS and final cut pro is made for the PC.

I was not aware of this.

Yes, and since final cut is the only editing application ever to appear on a desktop computer of any kind, PC users are screwed.

No creativity for you Windows users. Not yours.

Wow, this is quite possibly the dumbest thread ever. It was a neat video with a semi-original idea that was carried out pretty well. Just because some farktard on youtube makes a big deal out of it being made on a mac everyone on the board freaks out. Calm down, every time you see a mac in any fashion doesn't mean you need to freak out about "OMGZ MACS ARE SO ELITIST AND DUMB YOU CANT EVEN PLAY WOW ON THEM"

Christ, people.

Dr.Robotnik 2008-05-11 12:14:41 PM
That video was awesome, the song, while repetitve, is very catchy, and the girl is hot. What's not to like? Just because you don't like Macs doesn't make the video any less good.

Fark is just like a grumpy old troll who hates everything and wants you off their lawn.

2 minutes I'll never get back. That sucked.

What's a Internet Nubian 2008-05-11 12:45:31 PM
it'd be cooler if it was some kind of diction to note pad software that was transcribing the song real time, turns out it's just alot of manual typing and editing.

Fewer goofy desktop gimmicks, more footage of the chick in the video chained up and eating Alpo from Don Rickles' ass crack, please.

Ignorant McNugget 2008-05-11 01:16:53 PM
Original video for that song (N.A.R.R.) for conoisseurs of quirky videos.

/another vote for macs sucking the big one

Corvus 2008-05-11 02:01:40 PM
EbolaNYC: Yes, and since final cut is the only editing application ever to appear on a desktop computer of any kind, PC users are screwed.

Which is the PC version that is actually used in professional video making?

And again what is the windows virtual desktop called? Is it new to vista? I hadn't heard about it.

The first huge number of posts of "Waaaahhh! this video is on Mac. There fore I am being attacked!" Is humors. No one said "Look this proves Macs are better" but these PC zealots (I use PCs more than Macs myself) all freak out. And then they don't even know what they are looking at.

Mentalpatient87 2008-05-11 02:33:49 PM
I liked the video. I couldn't care less what machine it was done on, I find the song catchy, fun, and enjoyable. The chick is pretty, I thought it was the girl who does the other commercials for Apple products, Geist or something? She's hot, too, and I find her music strangely compelling.

Y'know what I'm watching here? A cool video. Sure, there's a lot of Mac advertising there, but I'm looking beyond that at the pretty visuals and the fun song.

/PC gamer
//not seeing an attack on preferences here

jeezus you PC users are bitter farks. The video only said 'look what I did with my Apple Mac' it didn't say anything about how shiatty your computer was, yet you went there immediately.

boot20 2008-05-11 06:16:39 PM
Chick is sooooooo hot...so hot...

SynthLord 2008-05-11 06:33:33 PM
Steve Jobs could learn something from this video.

I dig hearing about and seeing new Apple stuff being demonstrated, but watching his presentations is often like watching grass grow.
