About freakin' time the junta admitted they need help & are willing to accept it. Hopefully this single relief mission will lead to more being allowed.

I love how it sounds like they are doing us the favor by allowing us to help them????

They are just trying to make Bush look bad. Pretty soon, on Kos or Huffington they blame will be laid out on how Bush tried to kill them.

\All though the Cyclone he created was pretty motherfarking sweet
\Better than Katrina so he must be starting to learn to use his power

That's a cargo ship full of supplies that could be used to feed starving and homeless Americans! We should spend the "aid money" on trying to get ourselves out of this farking recession.

Poor dumb bastard.

Stop calling the country Myanmar. The people of Burma that hate the junta also hate the name "Myanmar". Using it only empowers the batshiatinsane junta.

Nature has given perfect conditions for an insurrection. Unfortunately, this also means that nature has given the junta a means to tighten their grasp.

Kind of a stretch, but the panel of judges has allowed it. +1

No, but they make a hell of an aftershave.

And junta is probably the best phish album.

Isn't myanmar a candy bar?

I'm confused

Superjew 2008-05-09 06:23:13 PM
The junta farkers who rule Burma have just had their fantasies handed to them on a silver platter: huge portions of the useless rural populace wiped out. Their only problem now is to try to prevent as much aid as possible (leading to as many deaths as possible) without actually seeming to be totally amoral monsters.

Gotta keep that Shell money flowing in, ya know.

/not kidding

The reason all of these "compassionate" governments respect the wishes of the ruling junta of Burma at the expense of humanity is that they realize they are the same sort of entity. What has the government of Burma done that hasn't been done a million times by all other ruling groups?

jakomo002 2008-05-09 06:24:17 PM
It's just SHOCKING that for NO REASON they don't trust the United States of America.

I mean, especially lately, the United States has been the most trust-worthy, honest, forthright country in the world.

They most certainly have not consistently lied and ignored the United Nations, nor would they ever consider taking advantage of this disaster to fark with the Burmese.

Haha

Burma doesn't need your aid workers, just drop off the food and the Chinese will help distribute it.

Nobody trusts you anymore, America. Nor should they.

Dude, they're farking aroudn with everyone's aid offers. In case you're a bit slow on the uptake, the ruling junta really wouldn't mind seeing a lot of the population die. And if you think the Burmese would trust the Chinese, may I suggest some history books?

My fantasy is the UN meets with the junta and says, "Open up your country to relief efforts or we invade and shoot you the second we do." It'll never happen of course.
