Staind and 3 Doors Down are in the internet world's Nickelback category?

I like Staind. Shut up.

/they sure as hell aren't Nickleback!

Suicidal Writer 2008-05-09 11:36:41 AM
Nickleback is the best mainstream band in the world.

flixter 2008-05-09 11:42:14 AM
I saw 3 Doors Down in Orlando with Nickleback and Dust for Life as their openers before Nickleback had anything on the radio. They sucked then too.

Why are we giving crappy bands free publicity?

is this a sponsored link?

I like Staind, but Aaron Lewis has lost the post break-up angst that made "Break the Cycle" awesome.

Still, I'd probably see the show, provided it was an outdoor venue.

What happened to 7 Mary 3 and Puddle of Mudd? Did they finally go off to college?

You little farkers get off my lawn and take that annoying drivel you call music with you. I'm going to see Tom Waits.

Beatle_Matt [TotalFark] 2008-05-09 11:48:08 AM
Wow. Terrible, terrible lineup.

The crowd will be full of nothing but boob-grabbing douchbags.

I saw the Bengals when they opened for Cyndi Lauper on her SheBop tour. They were very punkish. Then a few years later they came out with Walk like an Egyptian. I was very confused.

/yes I am old. STFU

If this was 1999 and I was in middle school i would be psyched to go.

What, no Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace? I demand more shiatty bands!

I would love to go the parking lot of one of these concerts cloaked as a trash can and do a study of these bands fans. I dont believe they are bad people I just need to know why they listen to these bands. I cant wrap my mind around it.

wow... all these shiatty bands with nothing to say...brrrr, im ashamed to be white...

Add a bunch more of these talent-free asshole rock bands to the bill, then pray for a massive bus crash with many casualties.

What a bunch of heinous, unlistenable crap. I'd rather listen to a farking dial tone.

"Kryptonite" wasn't a bad song. I don't think much of their work since then.

Amen. 3 Doors Down and Hinder have horrible live shows to boot. Staind blows them out of the water, both CD wise and live. I'd get a ticket and gladly miss 2/3rds of the concert just to see Staind. Especially if they play new stuff.

The Glass Dragon 2008-05-09 01:37:11 PM
I saw Hinder in concert last year (hey, it was a free ticket and a few cute girls asked me to go, so cut me some slack). Every guy at that show was a total asshole. And once they played Lips Of An Angel, half the crowd split.

Neekoh 2008-05-09 01:39:34 PM
These three bands can swap singers onstage and no one would notice.

Actually, they could swap songs and no one would notice.

When I saw Staind they were boring as all hell (I don't think anyone but Aaron moved from one spot). Maybe it would have been better if Sevendust hadn't opened for them, but still.

Sevendust throws one of the best live shows I have ever seen. It's tough to follow them.

Ehn, a few years ago it was Poison, Dokken, and Mötley Crüe touring together. This shiat happens all the time; just be glad you don't have to go.

Marisyana 2008-05-09 02:20:53 PM
They may suck but I bet none of them has to work a real job.

/heard of these bands, don't know their music
//Nickelback does suck hard though

I saw them a few years ago with 3 Doors Down. I left after Staind and never saw 3DD. Saw them a year later with some crappy opening band but Staind does put on a good live show.

/Still wanting to see Sevendust.....missed them last time they came up this way

You aren't seriously trying to group Guster in with the likes of those bands are you? Sure, wannabe hipster asshats like to name-drop them to prove how alternative they are, but they aren't bad. Miles better than any band in the headline, that's for sure.

/no, your favorite band sucks

It was a name my band used when we played a club here the same night Guster played the arena. I have no truck with them, but you pegged the fans correctly...

A few years back I went to see Staind, Breaking Benjamin, and 3 Doors Down for my mothers birthday. Staind and Breaking Benjamin sounded great, but they were either trying to fit into the "opener" band mindset, or they were all really tired. 3 Doors Down had pyrotechnics and all this other crap, but we walked out on their set, because we really didn't care to see them.
