This will end well. Really.

Well... I'd never seen that album cover, and did a google search. Can I now be charged for viewing child porn? Can I countersue WND for enticing me to seek said child porn? Does it matter that that young lady is now 45 years old? How does Nirvana's Nevermind fit in? They didn't even have the decency to cover the infant's junk with a crack.

mediaho 2008-05-08 02:43:55 PM
What's a Virigin?

mediaho 2008-05-08 02:45:17 PM
As of this evening, the photo of the nude child was still available online.

The nude album cover is just one of many hard-core pornographic images displayed on Wikipedia, WND has revealed.

Wait. Nudity is now considered hard-core pornography?!

Naked does not equal pornographic. What a load of BS.

Nestea Plunge: Recordings of women experiencing orgasms

Videos of nude men participating in "ejaculation educational demonstrations"

Detailed photographs of men and women masturbating
Images of mammary intercourse

Close-up images of topless women and male and female sexual anatomy

Large-scale photos of men performing oral sex on one another (and performing oral sex on themselves)

An illustrated list of sex positions

Threesomes

Photos of nude strippers

Looks like I have some researching to do.

Nudity and pornography are the same thing in the United States of Jesusland.

Very nice...

So, if you bought the album for the music and got 5-10 instead, what's your remedy against the record label?

Lots of people consider any image that might cause arousal hard core pornography, including images without any nudity. I guess it's because arousal can lead to masturbation and out of wedlock sex.

Here are the album covers, both the naked kid one and the one with the band.

Bad taste, yeah. Porn, I don't think so.

How about Van Halen's Balance cover?

ahhh I see images are disabled. Scorpions - Love Drive (pops, and rocks)

There is also a version of Love At First Sting that was sold only at Walmart. The original cover was replaced with a picture of the band. It's pretty rare. I found a sealed copy several years ago.

Oh, some on the left have the same sort of authoritarian streak. Seems more prevalent (or just more successful, lately) on the right, though. Both versions scare the fark out of me.

Hard-core, by definition requires penetration. P in Va-G. Or something along those lines. This guy is a joke. Kids should learn about sex somehow, Wikipedia beats looking up orgasm in the dictionary and giggling in the elementary school library like I did.

I remember one FARK thread where some idiot decided to post the "Virgin Killers" cover in question, and for no real reason, offering only the most tenuous of explanations as to why it was relevant to the thread.

Is all child nudity porn? No. Is the United States particularly reactionary when it comes to instances of child nudity? Yes. Is the "Virgin Killers" cover porn? I would assert that it is not porn, but it is sexually suggestive. She's got a starburst emanating from her vagina, for crying out loud.

Would I defend the "Virgin Killers" cover as an artistic statement? I'd give that a tenuous "yes," but that's a real tenuous "yes."

FTCCCITFA (From the crazy christian coon in the farking article.)

"It could appeal to the prurient interests of pedophiles around the world."

Using that "logic" what's to stop these folks from going after everything from Renaissance era painting of nude cherubim and seraphim's to photos of girls in their undies in Sunday circulars from J.C. Penny and the like?

Because something might appeal to folks who are sexually attracted to little girls that's reason enough to ban them?

And P.S. What's up with the fact that they keep "moving the goal posts" with regards to what constitutes a "child."

A 16 year old can gang bang the entire football team and half the cheer-leading squad and that's fin and good but if she gives her English teacher a taste she was a "victim?"

Also, why does the law regard her as a "child" is she sleeps with and older man but an "adult" if she murders him?

Do we officially view sex as worse than murder now?

P.S.

Why do these "Concerned women" types never rail against the teen and pre-teen girls who take and post photos of themselves online?

notice that out of all those body parts, etc. there's one called "jello biafra mooning?"

Oh_Enough_Already 2008-05-08 04:15:52 PM
Lastly, why do these folks never raise a fuss about the hundreds (thousands) of over-18 web porn starlets who barely look 15 let alone 18 and accentuate that with braces, bedrooms filled with dolls and toys, etc?

(You know who they are . . .)

If they knew about them would they?

Even though they're legal.

The "war on child porn" (meaning the war on teen-aged sexuality and the men who admire/fap to such not actual disgusting abuse of CHILDREN type porn" is about as useful and successful and has about the same (or less) of an interdiction rate than the war on drugs.

One more failed social policy based not on reason or logic but on outmoded and artificial puritanism.

Welcome to the USA, where the nude in art is porn and should be abolished, and REAL art is a plywood cube smeared with the blood of a dozen miscarriages.

musicky 2008-05-08 05:00:48 PM
The Scorpions cover is pretty dark (and just cheesy and tasteless all-around) but I wouldn't call it pornographic. If this is considered kiddie porn, next they'll go after Blind Faith, Houses of the Holy, Nevermind, Van Halen's "Balance", and Venetian Snares' "Horse and Goat". Don't know that last one? GIS it, I dare ya. Is Cannibal Corpse the next to go? The point is that if we ban everything that could conceivably arouse the interests of sexual deviants, we will have nothing left. Except the Bible, because everyone knows there's no objectionable material there.

If that makes you feel old, this should do worse.. Judas Priest was on Sirius last night and Halford pointed out that the name was created and put into use in 1969.
