For Fellow Farkers That May Not Know:

Eddy Arnold (May 15, 1918 - May 8, 2008) was an American country music singer who was second to George Jones in the number of individual hits on the country charts but, according to a formula derived by Joel Whitburn, is the all-time leader in an overall ranking for hits and their time on the charts. From 1945 through 1983 he had 145 charted songs, including 28 number-one hits.

This is sad...though I kinda figured it would be comin after his wife passed on in March. It's the same old story..(like Johnny and June)....Eddy just couldn't bare to live without her.

....Rest well Eddy, you done good sir

Stop confusing him with Abe Vigoda.

Eddy Arnold on YouTube. Tennessee Stud and Cattle Call.

Great stuff.

Cattle Call even made an appearance in Howard Stern's movie when he quits his job because the station went Country. One of theg greatest Country songs ever.

When I heard, I immediately listened to his original recording of "Cattle Call." One of the prettiest things ever recorded. What a great singer.

Say it with me class... 92 top 10 hits. No, that's not a typo!
