Sex scandals are so boring. Who gives a sh*t if Dann cheated on his wife other than his wife. Let her beat the sh*t out of him. It has nothing to do with his being Attorney General. Strickland should have dealt with this personally rather than drag it out. He could have forced a resignation.

I'd agree if the person he had the affair with wasn't an employee. Once you abuse your power or use company or state funds to carry out your infidelity then you are fair game.

THIS, Anyone but an employee its a none issue. Its an employee, sexual harassment is an issue. Even if "other woman" was a willing participant and she wasn't harassed, inter-office relationships like this just bad for moral.

There is that whole blackmail thing. Not good to have a public figure who is susceptible to influence because someone has "the goods" on that public official.

Scariest part of this story is that it could lead to Fischer being AG again, though that's not nearly as scary as Gov. Fischer if Strickland is tapped for VP.

I think this goes beyond the sex scandal. Dann seems to have given all his closest Youngstown cronies cozy high paying jobs with an unwritten rule that they would be exempt from many laws they are expected to uphold. He even went ahead and did this against the advice of many politicians who said it would look very bad in the eyes of the public.

Yes, but if its out like this its not really blackmail material. Think what would happen if you tried to blackmail the president of France with proof of an affair... he'd ask you for the pictures and give them to the news himself.

He could ask Kwame for advice on how to avoid being busted

Most of us (in Ohio) don't care whether he cheated on his wife or not. Heck, I don't even care if it WAS one of his employees. The affair is just the media's soap opera. The real problem is that he allowed sexual harrassment to go on in the office. When I say "allowed", I mean that the complaints were made by the women in the office and his response was "Turn your desk around so that you can't see him" or transferred the woman to another department. That isn't to mention the fact that the one guy wrecked at least one state vehicle while drunk, bought light kits and sirens for his state vehicles, sound proofed his office and was running his personal construction business from his state computer (in his state office). I'm not sure whether the sound proofing was to keep people from hearing his construction business going on or whether it was so people couldn't hear "other noises" coming from his office, but either way, there can't be a good explanation for him to need to soundproof his office, or to put lights and sirens on his state vehicle. Dann says that he didn't know about these things...but come on...how can you not notice the lights and sirens being put on cars or someone soundproofing their office? That isn't exactly something you can easily hide. Even if he didn't see it personally, certainly SOMEONE saw it and made mention of it.

Like I said, I could care less who he is farking...but giving your friends cushy jobs and allowing them to act like a bunch of monkeys is another story. The state is now at serious risk of a lawsuit.

I live in Ohio and I think he should resign, and then be persecu....I mean prosecuted.
Just what Ohio needs after the debacle of Taft and Ney!

b1ackh013:

I came here to say all of that... thank you for making it easy for me!

I just want to add that he shared a condo with the creep who wrecked the cars, put the lights on the vehicles, etc etc. I also know that he wasn't just AWARE OF the inappropriate behavior from the people in his employ, but was present for most it and looked the other way. He lived in the apartment where the after-hours sexual harassment took place!!

This is so much MORE than "he had an affair". He's a lying, cheating (and I mean he is cheating the people of Ohio by using our tax money to give jobs to his non-qualified buddies from Youngstown!), immoral jerk! He NEEDS to go!!

I'd also like to offer my assistance to his lovely wife: I'll hold him down whilst she beats the crap outta him!

On another note - has anyone seen the picture of the CREEPY guy who got fired for sexual harassment? If I passed out then woke up in a bed next to him and he was only wearing his skivvies (one of the allegations), I'd PUKE!!!

I came in here to say exactly what you said. Him having an affair has nothing to do with it. Hell, even Strickland isn't opposed to an investigation possibly leading to impeachment.

Yeah, I was about to chime in with the "So f'ing what?" until I saw that bit, since it is actually job related.

Is it "Attorney General", or "Attorney's General"

If he is the overseeing supreme Attorney of any given state or the nation, wouldn't that make the position "Attorney's General" ?

Just wondering.

Who the fark cares? According to his Website (new window) he is the State of Ohio's Attorney General...but I'm sure with a little bit of thought, I could come up with a more appropriate title.
