I met ICE-T in a strip joint in Vegas in 2003. A real nice guy. We talked about, I swear, the movies Breakin and Colors, and the cover of his album where, in Philly, you had to be 18 or over to buy.
(All three people on the album, including his then wife, are holding guns behind their backs).

I'm sure they're a fantastic group of gifted musicians. My point wasn't so much to knock them, but the amusing idea of classical music coming from middle America, with Ice-T at the helm no less.

They could be the greatest musical group on the planet for all I know, but I doubt anyone pictures "Indiana" when they think of classical music.

Well, the casual observer probably does not. But anyone in the business knows, if you don't get into Julliard, you're fighting tooth and nail to get into IU. I'm sure the state retains some of those fine musicians, though obvs not all. Ice T however, well ... I don't know. Yikes, I guess.
