Makes one wonder how many of these 73 convictions are trumped up charges that could've been handled in a more rational manner, and what they are beyond "violent" as the judge suggested. Violent as in assault after getting into a drunken barfight? 73 of them?

A DRUNK mechanic with 73 previous convictions swore at police because he said he was sick of them harassing him.

Jason Bridger was arrested after he swore at officers at The Cross in the centre of Worcester on Sunday, April 20.

Bridger, 22, of Boscobel Place, Lowesmoor, Worcester, admitted a public order offence of being threatening, abusive or insulting to police when he appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court.

Sallie Hewitt, prosecuting, said Bridger swore at police and continued to be abusive in the back of the police van when he was arrested at 2.20am.

Bridger, who defended himself, admitted he was drunk at the time and said he had only been released from prison three weeks ago.

He added: "I have made several complaints to police. They have been harassing me.

Well 73 priors + only being 22 = 95 points of FAIL there chief. I think on the scale of 100 you're 5 short of being a patently stupid criminal (I don't think being a drunk would help any here, you're just a moran). The bobbies are probably tired of your shiat. 74 times now.

You know, people like this really split my opinion on things like a 3 strikes law. On the one hand, we have waaaay too many people in prison, it is really expensive and so on. Laws like that just make shiat worse putting offenders that really aren't a big problem in jail for life.

On the other hand there's this assclown.

You mean light weight, right? A kid in my area, who is 17, has been in juvi court 117 times for under age drinking/fighting. His mother/aunt/sister or whoever is in charge of him, claims the police follow him. Well, duh, yea I'm sure they do.

Would love to see a pic of Mr. Bridger, the hard drinking, 22 yo, who I'm sure is or will be a productive member of society.

Now this article says this guy is being harrassed because he has 73 convinctions but doesnt mention what was the 73 convictions. What if he had only minor convinctions, as it seems to be the case since hes not in prison?

What if he did sing that rap song, 73 times and the police arrested him 73 times because of that.
Perhaps the police are searching him everytime they see him, just in case?
Perhaps hes hanging out with career criminals, you know, gangs.

My point is: dont be quick to judge this and since we dont have a lot of evidence we cant make an honest opinion on this.

I had a friend once who was a gang member and he was getting arrested all the time, just driving down the street and he would yell "harassement" and "thats racist".

The article says he has a history of violence, so I assume he gets drunk (or stoned) a lot and then attacks people. With 73 convictions, it's not surprising the cops search him every time they see him.
