I don't understand this fairly recent (it seems anyway) obsession over white teeth. Every time I see someone with brilliantly white teeth it looks freakish and unnatural. No thanks.

/Toothbrush is enough for me.

Crest can go stuff it. Some companies took their original product and made better versions of it. Deal with it.

I tried using Crest whitestrips a couple of time and hated them. Once you get the backing off, the strips are flimsy and the gel gets everywhere. And forget trying to use both the top and bottom strips at the same time, unless you can stop salivating completely. I gave up trying to use the bottom one at the same time as the top because it kept slipping off my teeth, so I gave up.

I wanted to try the Listerine dissolving strips or the Aquafresh white trays. Has anyone used either product and can talk about what they're like/whether they're worth buying?

Every time I think of crest white strips I think of that time in the Army when my friend took a dump in an empty box of crest white strips and we told some kid there was free crest white strips up for grabs. He was happy at first and then looked inside to see the concentrated evil staring back at him. Anger was the result.

I know what you mean. I went to a club with my wife recently and there was one of her friends there that does some sort of weird treatment on her teeth - they glowed fluro blue under the lights.

It was actually kind of freaky.

That being said, I'm getting mind capped and brightened next week. So I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite :)

DrGunsforHands: Cavity Creeps

I always wondered why they never fired directly on the buildings. Isn't the point of a flying machine the ability to bypass defenses?

That's so weird! My wife's do that in UV light whenever the pool boy comes to put in chlorine. Think he may be using too much?

Obviously.

If those idiotic Crest Kids or whatever they were called would quit leaving teeth all over the place, the Cavity Creaps would go away. They never seemed interested in anything but putting holes in teeth.

I tried some sort of tray variant, and they were a pain. They had the same salivation problem as the strips, only moreso since they were, well, trays. Worse than the Crest strips. The dissolving strips sound like an excellent product since I hated the Crest ones too, but I've been concerned about other things dentally speaking (that is, the crown that fell off last week that I haven't had a chance to get reattached)

Thank you! :) Good to know. If the trays are too expensive then, maybe I won't try them.

My step-sister and her husband are patent attorneys for P&G. I'm guessing they're behind this. She's told me stories of going after other dental product offenders.

imfallen_angel 2008-05-04 09:30:39 AM
For those that tried and don't like those strips, try the Sensident whitening toothpaste.

My wife received bad genes when it comes to her teeth's color (not that they are that bad but anyways), so she's tried a few products, and so far, the only one that I honestly, this toothpaste outdoes everything else I've seen...

So I've tried it myself, and while I have naturally white teeth, this did made a difference.

/hates sounding like a commercial but hey, it works

Malinki 2008-05-04 10:13:42 AM
Anyone here that's tried these products... Have any of you tried a Dremmel?
