See? She's a curse upon everything she touches. She touched her husband's weiner once....cursed that. We all know how that turned out.

You know, one of the talking heads on msnbc was mentioning the possibility that the horse might be put down during the race when she was talking about that.

An incredible horse died today. I think it is very sad.

SiON42X [TotalFark] 2008-05-03 09:27:11 PM
American flags fall behind her. Horses chosen by her die. And every state she wins suffers horrific problems right after the primary (tornadoes in TN, OK, and AR, blizzards in OH, church fire in Philly PA, among others).

A pox!

I was watching the race at a three year old's birthday party today. Before the race I was saying how funny it would be if the filly got edged out by the front-runner Big Brown because of Hillary’s comments earlier in the week. When this happened I brought up how ironic it was that she would come in second, but would not stop running even after she broke two legs so someone else had to put her out of her misery. The older people were aghast that I could be so callous. The younger people all had a good laugh.

jasuus1977 2008-05-03 09:31:49 PM
Very sad.

Hey, I think it's sad too but you can't deny that the coincidence and symbolism are quite impressive.

I don't like or dislike Hillary.
I've never met a horse that I liked, and I've met quite a few horses.
I like Elmers glue, never had dogfood though.
Not sure where I stand on this.

BalugaJoe: An incredible horse died today. I think it is very sad.

Maybe I just was raised on a farm or something, but it is a farking horse. A very expensive selectively bred farking horse that was owned by a very rich person that made it labor all day every day of its life so they could say they owned a champion.

Still a beautiful animal though. I was saddened to hear it as well.

Fascinatingly full of fail.

Massive IV drug overdose. The only time anyone shoots a horse anymore is if it's the farmer at home who can't be bothered to call the vet. And they certainly wouldn't do it right there on the track as the public watched.

/hates the racing industry
//death during the race is far from the only reason

E Arkhe 2008-05-03 09:38:27 PM
Wow. Just read the article. The horse actually was killed on the spot. That's kind of appalling. Wasn't there any way to fix her ankles?

Never was a big fan of horses...I don't see what all the fuss is, but I think that's a bit messed up.

barneyfifesbullet 2008-05-03 09:38:29 PM
Eight Belles actually had a chance to win the big race, and competed well until the ugly end..

Which is a hell of a lot more than can be said for Obama, who has a zero chance to win the big race and will finish even more ugly than that poor horse did.
