Is anyone really surprised the criminals running the show would do this?

I liked this story better the first time I saw it, when it was called "Silkwood."

I dunno if anybody else got this ad but what is CNA and how is endorsing Ralph Nader hurting the "progressive movement"?

I would like to see the police reports for these incidents. It's all fine and dandy to say these things, but I've seen it before, and if one hangs his hat on this, and it turns out to be even partly fabrication, then it can be somewhat embarrassing.

Don't get me wrong. I want to believe this. I really, really, *really* want all of that to be true, because then we'd be getting somewhere with the whole "throw them all in jail" thing.

But, I am a man singularly lacking in faith; I do not believe a thing. Without the official public records to back this up, this holds as much water as a crackpot conspiracy theory.

Can anyone more savvy at finding things perhaps dredge up some facts, or at least corroboration?

Shaggy_C: It would be better to act like Bill Clinton, in that situation. Less punishment, more cigars and Boobies!

except for the fat chicks, you are correct

I also have no doubt that this is true, but more verification is needed. Actual interviews and police reports and all that crap. In as much as Bush and Rove deserve to go to jail, I think they could murder a nun on live TV and theyd never do a single day.

Someone better remind them that Nixon nearly fried for his attempted coverup, after his flunkies went into the blades.

However, Nixon forgot about the arson part of the coverup, always an important part of the equation. Liddy depended on Cuban burglars who were unreliable, and was also unfortunate enough to try his break in on the night a security guard was actually doing his job.

(It's very important to do this kind of thing with either lazy, sleeping or bribable guards; the rare scrupulous or ex-Marine guard can destroy your break-in)

the extent liberals are willing to go to sully the name of Rove is beyond me, its disgusting. i hope she got a big check to burn her house and falsely influence the trial. hell, she probably did it for free.

This sounds a little to conspiracy-theory-ish to me, but it may have merit. I'd be interested to see some of these cases solved.

You'll get over it. Or you won't, who knows. You're dumb enough to put your faith in the inventor of push polling and race baiting, so you've already got the deck stacked against you.

Except to act like Bill Clinton, your lie has to be about something insignificant.

PS: Kudos on tactical use of 'boobies' to make sure your post is the first one every pissed off liberal reads in this thread.

If they're going to act like Richard Nixon, may I suggest an appropriate speech writer?

If you follow this US attorney, politicizing of govt agencies story and all it's permutations it's a logical conclusion that the agenda was to influence not only elections but the administering of justice itself. It's a classic move performed by political tyrants down through time. once you own the legal system the world's your sandbox. It takes time. you have to appoint a lot of the right people in the right places. it takes decades to get all those judges and justices lined up. considering the power of the executive now with all his high tech listening devices and the ability to track all communications and financial/personal data with no independent oversight. Imagine all the dirt you could dig up on political opponents or anyone for that matter.

but hey it couldn't happen here right?

With the Bush administration running the "Justice" Department, acting like Nixon probably is a winning strategy.
