FTFA: "The car was a gift, given four years ago," the rapper's publicist Tracy Nguyen told the Post.

What kind of a jerk gives you a "gift" of a $250,000 car and sticks you with the monthly payments for it?

I have a friend that works at a Lexus dealership in Houston...he says the people with the absolute worst credit are usually very highly paid very poorly educated* pro athletes and very highly paid uneducated entertainers.

Yeah, I used to work at a retail business where I had to run credit applications. Usually the customer was requesting only $1000 to $5000 in credit. The people who got declined almost always had either very low income or very high income. The people in-between usually got approved.

I had people with $2 million a year of income become irate that the bank didn't approve them. But the fact is it doesn't matter how much money you have in the bank or how big your paychecks are. If you don't pay your bills nobody is going to want to lend you money.

Yeah...no. I know plenty of people and companies that have for shiat credit and DOZENS of credit lines. I've known retail ops that take one loan to pay off another when collections ramp up or credit lines dry. So long as there is collateral or money to secure, a bank doesn't care.

As for HSBC, or whatever other banks are out there doing it (even though it seems that most of the time its HSBC), I don't know what standards they set for store cards, so maybe it's different.

the car was hauled away because the recording artist was at least four months behind on her payments.

What kind of self-respecting rapper makes payments? (Okay, I know she was a hooker and thus has no self-respect, but still). You need to by that shiat straight cash.

If you can get paid making music, why the hell not? You're just pissed that you can't make a lot of money doing something you genuinely love. Who doesn't wanna be a rock/hip-hop/country/whatever star?

I can't imagine that she has any sort of current income at all--record sales? Shows? Where does her money come from? Did she really ever make any in the first place? She's been in jail recently, right? I thought she blew all her $$ making herself look alien.

I feel so bad for artists who spend their entire advance before they even have an album out. So bad.

My "Lil' Kim" story...

I worked for a radio station group that ran four stations from one facility, and one was an urban station. Somehow we got involved with a concert of hers at a local arena. We ran promos, did a prize giveaway which included a backstage "meet and greet" with Kim.

She was supposed to hit the stage around 9:00. She didn't even arrive at the venue until 10:00 with a "so what, fark you" attitude about it. Then she fiddled around backstage with her "entourage", finally went on stage at 11:30 and after a half hour, she was done. By the time she went on, a pretty good size portion of the crowd had left because they got sick of waiting. (it was a Tuesday night...some people had jobs to go to in the morning!)

For some reason, her deejays were having equipment problems, so the show promoter called a local guy, a college kid, and he set up his equipment for them to use. Lil' Kim's deejay stole the kid's phono cartridges from off his turntable rig and then lied about it when confronted backstage. The meet and greet was a joke as well as she was a total coont throughout it. A couple of the winners were teenagers who were there with their parents and the parents were not impressed, I could tell.

That was the last rap concert the station had anything to do with evar. She's an idiot.

Hey, as long as she had it when MTV Cribs stopped by, that's all that matters. (And the Cristall, and the Scarface poster)

To each is own, still sounds like you're pissed these people make the same if not more money than you doing something way cooler. You got groupies at your job? I doubt it. Oh and Lil Kim might play crap (I just read TFA), but not all of em do, so some actually make good music AND have badass lives. Quit hating on other people's success.

Uh, hate to break it to you, but sampling stealing another artists music and mutilating it does not constitute music. It is no different than copy-and-pasting text from a source then calling it your own because you moved a period or capitalized a word from the text. And as for "badass" lives, most, if not all crappers are nothing more than glorified criminals who should be in prison anyway. Stop kidding yourself, these people are not pillars of society to base you life on or around, unless you're 13, then in that case, carry on my wayward son
