My kid loves arugula.

He's always asking for it on his mac and cheese.

WTF? He prefers something sweet, healthy, and nutritious over something bitter and unhealthy? That's not just childish, that's perverted. Obama's a farking child molester, that's what he is.

Nabb1 [TotalFark] 2008-05-02 11:53:01 AM
I don't know what kind of lawyer he is if he's not completely strung out on coffee. That's just wrong.

FT Comments: "...psycho babble stretches beyond the ridiculous."

I wish I could sponsor him for TF.

For as ridiculous as this piece is, and the insane reductio ad absurdum that's been going on in the scrutiny of the candidates, it's not as off base you'd think.

People really do pay attention to these things. That's not to say that we or the media should just give in to frivilous critiques. But every bit of polish you can muster in a campaign can't hurt if the voters actually pay attention to crap like that.

Then again, those poor bastards are often in a no-win situation.

Too black or not black enough?
Show emotion or show "testicular fortitude?"

It's all so stupid. I don't know why anyone would suffer through this, no matter how noble their intentions are.

Control_this [TotalFark] 2008-05-02 11:55:27 AM
Orange juice is elitist. Obama probably hates Colombians.

Etchy333 [TotalFark] 2008-05-02 11:55:35 AM
Also, orange juice comes from Florida. Coffee comes from Columbia. Now, look who's being unpatriotic?

Really? farking really?

The switch from juice to coffee is a rite of adulthood. It's not that Obama seemed to hold himself above the coffee drinkers. It's that he seemed to lag behind them. He's still on fruit juice while the adults are sipping bitter and bracing coffee.

Sometimes I like coffee. Sometimes I like soda. Sometimes I like juice. I'm farkin' nuts for tea of all stripes. I wasn't aware that beverage homogeneity was an indication of maturity.

Coffee is so nasty. Rite of passage indeed.

I love when writers inadvertently expose their own idiocy when trying to critique others. The comments on that site are quite the dog pile.

Obama had coffee at his breakfast with Bloomberg in NYC

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,314108,00.html

Perhaps he'd already had many cups that morning? Perhaps he likes OJ with his waffles cuz they're doughy and he likes the acidity to wash it down? Perhaps he just felt like OJ that morning?

(sorry. was that not an appropriate level of outrage over this "coffeegate" scandal? lemme try again.)

OMG!!! HE DRINKS OJ AND NOT COFFEE!?!?! THIS CONFIRMS ALL THE EVIL THINGS THAT I'VE HEARD ABOUT B. HUSSEIN OBAMA!

(better?)

This article, however stupid it may be, does present the rare opportunity to e-hurt the feelings of the mongoloid who wrote it, who I'm positive is reading the comments. I'll be hanging out in the comments section there, gents.

SERIOUSLY?

Coffee IS nasty. My mom told me I'd never be a grownup if I didn't learn to drink coffee.

Never had it; can't stand the smell of it. Perpetual childhood, I guess.

cheshirecatsmileyface 2008-05-02 12:52:47 PM

Well good. bring on the children then. because all the adults have gotten us so far is war, famine and destitution. i say let the kid have a try.

Turing_Machine [TotalFark] 2008-05-02 01:03:56 PM
Every once in a while I begin to think we're becoming collectively smarter. We're learning from our past, and we're going to do our best not to fall into those silly traps.

Then something like this happens, and I have to believe I'm just deluding myself. We're as smart as we're going to get, and this is just about as far as we can go as a nation and as the human race.

vincentpriceisdead 2008-05-02 01:08:19 PM
Dude, if I shaked as many hands as Obama does I'd be loading up on Vitamin C at every opportunity.

Shook. I blame that on my lack of a complete breakfast.

What kinda communist pussy doesn't drink coffee? Coffee is as American as Pizza or fortune cookies! This guy is begging not to be nominated.

Hang On Voltaire [TotalFark] 2008-05-02 01:13:57 PM
Dude is reading WAY too much into the OJ. However, when the guy asked Obama if he wanted some coffee I am surprised he didn't say, "Is this helping my children?"

Dinjiin [recently expired TotalFark] 2008-05-02 01:14:06 PM
Oh for crying sakes.

Diner coffee is almost always over roasted. Most often, I end up having a bit of coffee with my dairy as opposed to the other way around.

It is hard to fark up OJ.

If this is how we are choosing our presidential candidates, we deserve the biatch we'll get.

I've been thinking of introducing food to the meal as well.

He probably got the OJ because he thought the government put AIDS in his coffee.

Lando Lincoln [TotalFark] 2008-05-02 01:23:10 PM
Real men don't drink juice? What the fark is that? You have just GOT to be kidding me. Nobody could be that farking stupid to write an article of that length on a topic so inane and mean it. I have a feeling that before this election season is over I'm going to be balled up in a corner, rocking back and forth, saying, "Americans just cannot be that stupid...Americans just cannot be that stupid..." over and over again.

I would like to see your evidence of coffee being 'unhealthy'. last I checked it was chok full of antioxidants.

OJ, meanwhile, is a fast track to obesity.
