just had to be made of biodegradable material and thus would disintegrate once it reached a certain height in space...And for its safe return, there's a reward to the tune of $10,000 plus four tickets to Coachella for life.

WTF?? Didn't care about it when they thought it was going to be destroyed, but since it didn't disintegrate they want it back?

/Sounds just like my ex-wife...

The pig flew right over me in the crowd...bunch of security guys holding on to it's tether ropes shoved people out of the way...it was farking AMAZING.

Plus there was the airplane that flew over dropping pro-Obama leaflets...but he didn't account for the weather...lol...they ended up in neighborhoods with stupid people.

I have heard the pig is normally released and allowed to make its way around, but normally it's done in stadiums/arenas. They probably can usually track down the Big Piggy after most shows, but that desert wind was blowing last night so maybe not this time!

Great f'in show.

He got it at Pink Floyd's yard sale... Honest!

It's probably pretty close by, unfortunately Roger Waters head is so huge and inflated, he probably can't see it.

I guess that's what you get for being told for thirty years that you are a talented song writer who was part of a good band, when, actually, the complete opposite is the truth.

Yeah, he plays and has played in a shiatty band, which is why their popularity has waned in the passed years.

I would never give the pig up
never let it down
never hurt it

If this is an attempt at sarcasm, I'd be careful, because either you spelled 'past' incorrectly, or you made a grammar error when you meant to say 'years passed'.

The only reason why Pink Floyd has become more popular since the band broke up is because kids my age and younger assume all drug music from the 70s is amazing and, instead of listening to it, they just smoke pot, do mushrooms and go, "whoa man, that is farking amazing, dude. did you know this record almost kind of lines up with the first half of The Wizard of Oz, but only if you start it at a totally arbitrary point and ignore a lot of the parts that don't really line up too well? Trippy, dude."

Oh, and Nick Mason is the worst drummer in the history of recorded music. Meg White has better groove than him.

From the Wall onward, I would kind of have to agree with you.
But in the Meddle/Pompeii era, he was an awesome drummer.

Yeah, but isn't it conventional for a musician to get better as time passes?

I must just be silly.

Yeah... kind of backwards, innit?
[no you're not silly].
I mean in the late 60's early 70's PF at least had a few relatively uptempo songs... but from the wall onward it was almost all [save for "Run like Hell" or "one slip" or part of "poles apart"] slow or midtempo dirges.

Another drummer like Nick [as in, once great, but went in a decline in later years] is Keith Moon. His drumming was fantastic on "live at leeds" and "who's next" and "quadrophenia" but on "who are you" he sounds nothing like his old self... his playing and technique didn't have the same feeling or quality. If i hadn't known it was Keith, I woulda thought it would've been a pretty good session drummer or something.

Phil Collins might fall into that category. I prefer his drumming with Genesis and Brand X in the 70's, but he's kept relatively the same quality and good technique throughout his career, just used it for different purposes/ends in the 80's and 90's. [put his drumming talents towards pop/rock instead of prog./fusion].
not to mention getting a little lazy and using drum machines on some songs...

I like to think that Neil Pert has improved since the 70's... definately gone down hill...
same with Carl Palmer....

but i mean as you grow older you sometimes naturally lose some of the ability to drum as awesomely as you did in your youth... so there's gotta be a loss somewhere, in a way...
[ie. slower drumming, less technique due to aging body / muscles / bones, etc.]

You don't like Pink Floyd, we get it. Spare us your uninformed criticisms.

When I saw Roger Waters in Tampa last summer the pig got caught in some of the metal "structure" of the amphitheater and couldn't fly away if it wanted to.

WTF? where did that "definately gone down hill" come from?!
I don't remember writing that... it certainly shouldn't be there.... doesn't fit the context at all...
