Deborah Harry: the woman responsible for the kitten Holocaust of the early 80s.

1979 /= 1980's

Fail much?

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Because People in power are Stupid:

The drummer is off the hook.

Clem Burke, baby!

Clem Burke, awesome drummer with his horizontal toms.

My 5th all-time favorite drummer (Moon-Bonham-Starr, Steve White-Style Council).

Eat To The Beat is a great album.

Chris Stein is a great songwriter, too bad he was deathly ill for years.

CLEM BURKE!

He still rocks. Saw Blondie open for The New Cars and Clem was right on. Rumor was that they asked Clem to do the Cars job. That would be GREAT.

And, Debbie Harry reminds me of Starbuck on BSG in this.

I'm really glad that Debbie looks like she does now, because if she still looked like she did back, well back when I was an infant, I'd have to move to NYC and make her mine.

/I often close my eyes and imagine that Debbie is singing the entire parallel lines album to me

I'm a youngin' but I remember grabbiing the "Greatest Hits" tape from my mom, and listening to it.

Still one of my favorites. I am inspired by a lot of the songs (Call Me, Rapture, Sunday Girl) from my youth.

AceGently 2008-04-29 04:49:31 AM
I acutally learned a little French speaking from Blondie. The 'Best of Blondie' had a versionn of Sunday girl that was a mix.

English:
Live Sunday Girl (new window)

French:
User Pics Sunday Girl (new window)

Best Of (the version I know):
Blondie - Sunday Girl (Best Of Blondie) (new window)

Just for reference... You know.... (SHE'S HOTT)

At one time, I had a Blondie album (bootleg) that featured a naked Ms. Harry, strategically spread to take advantage of the hole, right on the vinyl. Remember picture albums? I have no idea what happened to that record; in fact, I barely remember the '80's at all. Anyone still have a copy of that - or, at least a picture? To be honest, I don't even remember what songs were on it. Not why I bought it...

So you're telling us you farked a bootleg album?

Ahh, Debbie Harry, subject of many of my earliest fapping sessions.

She was the hottest thing on 2 legs for me in the late 70's/early 80's.... and I loved that cocaine & vodka half-lidded stare she had going.... mm.

And the music still holds up. 70's NY punk sensibilities with a nice clean dose of synth pop thrown in.

Allow me to add another vote for Clem Burke, he was one of my favorites when I was learning to play...

Wow...in the olden days singers didn't rap and they had an actual band that played music.

If music survives in the next 20 years, expect to hear that alot.

Man those ties are skinny! Wow. I am old.

Well, 1970's can = 1980's, but 1980's can not = 1970's.
