eqtworld: How can it be "bogus", if someone sees something and they don't know what it is... it is by definition a UFO.

UFO =/= alien spacecraft

Because it's texas?

srhp29 2008-04-28 10:53:06 AM
How is a UFO sighting bogus? I mean, if the people couldn't identify it and it was flying, is it not a UFO?

Maybe bogus alien craft sighting, but hardly a bogus UFO.

"It just - poof! - disappeared. It was like a little triangle zap, like you see in the movies. I mean, it just disappeared," Fojt added.

What movies you be talkin' bout, Willis?

11 News: "Had you ladies been drinking?"

(laughter)

Fojt: "No, no, no. I kind of wish we had, you know? Maybe it would seem less real."

But drugs? Oh yea, they tongued a tab not fifteen minutes before hand.

Now, the result of this has been that the Venutians have contacted people in all walks of life - all walks of life.Yes. It would be a devastatin' blow to our antiquated systems - so now the Venutians are meeting with people in all walks of life - in an advisory capacity. For once man will have a god-like control over his own destiny. He will have a chance to transcend and to evolve with some equality for all.

Myself and Family in our Car Traveling at Night near the White Sands Base.
A Red Glowing Ball about the Size of our Car,was Flying about ten feet away,Flashing White Lights,Burning our Skin,Chasing us,seem to be Curious about us.When we tryed to drive Faster the UFO Seem to get upset and Clone itself into two Space Ships,We turned our car around to head back towards the Nearest Town, one Alien SpaceShip started to shoot a Blue Laser at our car, when we looked at the clock in our car,a hour had past in 15 mins to us.I will never forget that nite. There was three Adults, one Handicapped Child and our Pitbull in our car."

I'm not dead-set against the possibility of extra-terrestrial visitors but I do wonder why it was only these two that saw the thing over a major roadway. Perhaps others will come forward after seeing the news. Or they'll see the dismissive treatment that the women got and just stay home.

mpfjr-

I still don't understand why alien spacecraft need lights.

It's so when they make right turns, then accelerate to warp speed, and make triangular 'zaps' like in the movies we can all appreciate it.

Probably just some alien B movie director. Presumably they'll be back to abduct the two women later to steal their memories and get the clip to the editors.

Well, there are lots of aliens in Baytown -- the illegal kind.

Perhaps even hyper-advanced races had to go through the same harsh lessons of flight and collision-avoidance. It would be a real bummer to send a crew across the galaxy, only to have them blundered into by a Cessna 172 that didn't see them.

The Phoenix Lights were *not* a UFO, any more than a B2 Stealth Bomber is a UFO. The AIRCRAFT fly over Phoenix going to or coming from Groom Lake AFB (Homey Airport) and off the coast of San Diego, where they can fly supersonic and only annoy the San Diegans. It's about the only place in the US they can do that.

The ONLY strange thing is that they are very quiet AIRCRAFT, and that they can HOVER for a long time. Woo. Farking STAR TREK, huh? That, and they get some kind of transmission problem every now and then and have to HOVER there for a couple of hours until they either drift out of sight or hitch a tow or something.

It is really half silly and half annoying when we get the disinformation about it after it happens. They follow the numbers in trying to get everybody to just STFU about it.

"No, that was NOT an aircraft hovering 200 feet over your house for a half an hour. It was some flares. No, I mean you are a UFO kook. No sane person saw it, because it wasn't there. No, it *actually* was just a streetlight. LOOK, here are some pictures of bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster. Bet you believe in those, too."

uhhh before you get your panties in a knot read the Weeners. Unless of course you have identified the flying object as a B2,then its no longer a UFO... but of course you were there or could tell from teh grainy video it was a b2.

UFO DOES NOT MEAN ITS AN ALIEN SPACESHIP!!

/sigh
/morans
/when will people read moar books!

This is nothing. I saw a UFO, with another eye witness, at eye level while parked on a deserted bridge in the country. The craft hovered over the water close enough that I could have tossed a rock at it.

My friend and I were in high school and it was close to our curfew, so we were burning our last few minutes chatting on the bridge near our neighborhood.

I said, "that is not a UFO" and as soon as I said that, almost as if the occupants heard us, it turned and went into the woods, although it looked like it when THROUGH the woods rather than into them, but that is semantics.

These gals are amateurs.

Still, an alien spacecraft would have had sensors to know we were there, although we were parked directly behind a hill in its line of sight, so I guess that could have blocked sensors. Still, what we might have seen was a ghost ship, as many people in that area, I came to find out later, have seen the same ship searching for something in the water.

/Would pass a lie detector test, as would my friend.

I saw one you could have hit with a rock. Only it said "No Step" on the side and we would have gotten into real trouble if we'd thrown rocks at it, I suspect.

/beware the aliens from planet "No Step"
