The President of the United States appears on a game show. How low can his dignity go? Can it go as low as his I.Q.? How about as low as his approval ratings?

If there's one thing I hate more than Bush, it's these stupid fkn game shows...

Wait...maybe it's the other way around.

Car_Ramrod 2008-04-25 08:23:28 PM
Monday's show had approximately 10 million viewers, "down 27 percent from its season average."

Hot damn, he loves that number.

On a real POS game show to top it off. But the kind of game show he'd have a shot at.

I wonder what Right Wing Radio would have said if Bill Clinton had gone on a game show though. We'd never hear the end of the sanctimony about his efforts to embarrass America.

They're the same number. Don't need to be repetitive.

Eh, haven't all the people running for president in the major parties done an appearance on SNL at this point? Currently, I'd have to say Bush at least chose the show with better writing.

//zing!

At least he didn't show up on one of those crappy wrestling shows. I'd hate to think the US could get a President who'd sink THAT low.

I've never seen the show, but a friend (who watches) described it to me...

And I wanted to smack her in the head. It sounds like your "choices" in the game boil down to a simple algorithm.

It's weeks like these I'm glad Bill Hicks died 14 years ago. Between Deal or No Deal and American Idle on every night... I'm sure his head would explode and take Texas with it.

And imagine the trouble that would have saved us. It's how he'd have wanted to go.

...because Deal or No Deal is only watched by the same dozen or so people that come to Fark.com to say that LOST sucks.

You know who else said ``Sock it to me?'

Oh, wait. Of course you do. That was your point, wasn't it?

Fu Manchu: It's weeks like these I'm glad Bill Hicks died 14 years ago.

I was just thinking that the other day. I think he's already dead because, if he weren't, the last eight years would have killed him.

Case in point:

FTFA: On Monday, President Bush made a videotaped cameo to NBC's "Deal or No Deal" game show, joking, "I'm thrilled to be anywhere with high ratings these days."

He's the worst President in the history of this country...and that's a joke to him. Ha ha. "Hey, look at me, I farked up this country so badly that everyone hates me! Hee hee!"

Bill, wherever you are, I'm glad you didn't have to see this sorry shiat.

I know that whenever the lying little peckerhead shows up on my television screen, the channel gets changed. Same for Cheney.

They do nothing but lie anyways, what's the point of listening to what they say?

I'd rather see him on "Moment of Truth".

But only if he really needed the money.

RyanWillia 2008-04-26 09:07:49 AM
The only thing that can turn Deal or No Deal's ratings around is if the prizes are converted into Euros. Thanks for nothing GW.

It's not like he's doing anything, anyway.
Let the lame duck have his tv appearances.
It's almost over, folks.

Pixelvision 2008-04-26 09:23:07 AM
If Gore was President then his administration would have prevented Deal or No Deal. Gore wouldn't have gone on vacation for months before Deal or No Deal happened. He would have taken steps to make sure America was protected against Deal or No Deal. Gore's methods against Deal or No Deal would be praised. The United States' international reputation would be in a much better position because of the better way that Deal or No Deal would have been handled.

In 2004, US citizens had the chance to rectify the Deal or No Deal situation by electing John Kerry. John Kerry is a game show veteran with experience in this field. It was clear than the current method to deal with Deal or No Deal wasn't working. With President Bush making the same "Viewing numbers are down, but we need to keep watching anyway" speech. Using fear tactics The President kept his position.

Now the president himself is actively trying to extend the life of Deal or No Deal. He wants it to last until the end of his term so that the next president will be forced to do something about it. It is clear that the situation is as bad as it has ever been!

Vote Barack Obama, Channel changing we can believe in!

Honestly, Think Progress would post that a cow was killed to make Bush's hamburger and it would make the Fark Politics page. But only Think Progress could spin this. On Monday night Deal or No Deal was up against Dancing With The Stars which always has huge ratings. But what Think Progress will NOT tell you is that Deal or No Deal had the second most number of viewers Monday night (behind Dancing) meaning they beat CBS and Fox. Notice also that Think Progress only notes that it was the lowest watched Deal on Mon night. So it was not the lowest rated Deal of the season, just on Mon night. My question is what Mon night are they comparing it to? If Deal has not been running on Monday night normally then when was the last time they ran Deal on a Mon night. Was it in the middle of Jan?

Problem: War in 2 countries, thousands of civilians dead. No end in sight.

Solution: I'll go on a game show and joke about how no one likes me!

Alphax 2008-04-26 10:51:43 AM
So they advertized that the President of the United States would be on their game show, and not only did they not pick up new viewers, the regulars stayed away.

Since this was Bush, I'm not surprised at all.

Given that the people that elected him are morons, he just might be on to something.

You gusy all speak the truth. There is no lamer act than a president doing a taped appearance on a national tv show watched by millions to thank a veteran who got at least got a little wounded for his country. I'm pretty sure his parents and family were disgusted by our presidents horrendous actions.

morons.
