One of my favorite songs from Ænima , right next to 'Hooker with a Penis'.

"Ahhh, it's gone, it's gone, it's gone...All the shiatty shows are gone, all the idiots screaming in the farking wind are dead, I love it...leaving nothing but a cool, beautiful serenity called Arizona Bay. That's right, when L.A. falls in the farking ocean and is flushed away, all it will leave is Arizona Bay." - Bill Hicks

This is a great song... Just wondering, though: Did I miss a story giving it specific relevance today, or is this a "just because I felt like hearing it" submission?

So I had a dream with Maynard in it last night.

He's my husband and he doesn't know it yet.

It was a very good dream. Hah.

I wish he could see the bay from deep below its waves, with his feet in a tub of hardened concrete.

I don't understand all the love for TOOL. The lyrics aren't interesting or clever aside from the Bill Hicks reference, musically it's just repeditive thudding sounds, and the video is a bunch of esoteric bullshiat that angry children find "Trippy"

And yet you feel compelled to comment in a TOOL thread.

Tool is artistic audible perfection. Listening to 10,000 Days the whole way through with some studio quality headphones is a magical experience.

One time while I was stoned and sleepy I passed out around track 5. I woke up during the last track which I call "The journey to hell" and freaked out a little.

Not in the least.
Angry music aimmed at young men who feel powerless over their lives.

Idiocy masquerading as profuntity; or so you can understand it:
stupity passing for wisdom.

By far my favorite TOOL song. Maynard is a lyrical genious.

Get in line sweetcheeks! Just dont jump on stage
to get a hug. As we have seen before on Fark, that just ends in humiliation.

Your mastury of English grammar is really compeling and helping you build a strong case for your positon.

I happen to love Tool, and I generally don't care for "that kind of music"

My ex was really into them and he got me to hear this song and it was ok until it slowed down and made me realize how good they are, its one thing to play well loud and fast but to slow it down and sing like he does, is the magic.

Personally, as much as some call it trash, I find it to be a fairly accurate description of modern values and consumerism
